She turned to see a female dressed in what looked like to be gown made of actual flowers that flowed effortlessly over her sinfully curved figure. Her deep auburn hair hung to her waist with the slightly pointed ears of the Fae peeking through and topped with a crown of what seemed to be minuscule suns. Her eyes were the color of flawless pieces of jade set into a face of achingly beautiful perfection and felt as though they bore through to the soul.
"Who are you? Is this a second part of my battle or something?" she asked getting into fighting stance.
"You have won your battle nobly to make your kingdom proud. It is over, but your presence is needed for a while longer."
"I don't understand. When the battle is over, you go back home. Why must I stay? Something is happening in my kingdom, and I need to get back so that I can help."
"Your battle is different as it was always meant to be. I know what is happening in your kingdom. It is why you must remain here until you are ready."
"Ready for what? Why will no one tell me what is really going on? I want answers!"
"You shall get them."
"Who are you, and what do you know about my destiny? I've never seen you before."
"I am Danu. You may have never seen me, but I have watched you your whole life as you are a child of my line. You are meant for great things, and now it is time for you to learn and know."
"What do you mean child of your line?"
"You are a descendant of the Tuatha De Dannan. A Chosen One who will become fully Fae."
"How is that even possible? Fae have not been in our world for thousands of years."
"It is true. We returned to our realm long ago, but our bloodlines endured in your world creating Chosen Ones. The bloodlines are now starting to awaken in full force."
"Chosen Ones are coming out of battle with strong abilities like my world has not seen in centuries."
"Yes. It has been 500 years since the likes of any strength of power has been seen. We feared a full awakening all those years ago as well, but alas, the evil was kept at bay causing the bloodlines to go dormant once more."
"What evil? Is that what is happening in my kingdom? Is there an evil coming?"
"Yes. He escaped to your realm which keeps myself and the others from intervening because we made a vow to your people all those years ago to keep out of the dealings of humans. That vow holds us in our realm but did not rid your people of the bloodlines connected to the Tuatha De Dannan, which is why you are here and not returning to your realm just yet." She looked to Aiden's great great grandfather's sword, and it shone magnificently under her gaze as it warmed in Aiden's hand. "You are the Warrior of Old made new. The bloodline will fully awaken in you as never seen before. You must come with me. You need to train and learn."
"I need to return to my kingdom and my people if there is an evil coming. How long have I been gone already?"
"You have been here for several days, but that is only mere moments in your world. There is time. But we must not waste any of it. Come."
She waved her hand over Aiden's face healing it with a tingling warmth before turning to open what appeared to be a portal of golden light. Aiden did not know what to make of it all, but every instinct told her to take Danu's hand and follow because she was the only person who was giving her any kind of answers. Those answers were explaining why Aiden's parents were worried and saying strange things. The answers explained Fiadh, Darren, Beck, and the others coming out of battle with such power. If Danu could help save the kingdom from whatever the evil is, Aiden knew she should go with her to train and learn.
