"Oh, it seems I lost," Axel said with a psychotic laugh. "Don't you want to ask me anything? Why I did this?" Axel asked.

None of them said anything.

"Lack of imagination I see. How about I just tell you? The whole reason why I'm doing this. It started about three years ago. My wife and I at the time were as happy as could be; at least I thought we were, that is. It seemed that as of a few months before she had been cheating on me and I never knew. Then one night she came into our living room with a suitcase. She confessed to me about what she had been doing and explained she was leaving me for the man she had been seeing. When she told me all of this I couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe that my own wife had been cheating on me for months, and I never knew. As she was starting to leave a thought occurred to me. What if I made it so she could never leave me? Never to be with anyone else. Never be anyone else's. Just mine and mine alone, forever. So I went to my desk and picked up my letter opener. Right before she was about to open the door, I came up behind her and impaled one of her lungs. I quickly pulled the opener out: and she collapsed on the floor. I watched as she gasped for air. A puddle started to form, and her shirt soon became drenched with her blood. She began to cough and choke on her blood. A minute later, her body movement started to stop. I watched as the light in her eyes start to disappear and at that moment, I cut into her body, and cut out her heart," Axel explained.

"That's why you killed your wife?! That's why you killed all those innocent people?!" Kendall exclaimed.

"Thoses people weren't innocent!" Axel yelled. "They committed a great sin. All those people were unfaithful to their spouses," Axel said with clear venom in his voice. He took a deep breath to collect himself. "What happened to the others was simply punishment. It was the price they had to pay for the sin they committed. They all got what they deserved. If I didn't do it, then who would've?" Axel said calmly, acting like what he had done was reasonable.

"It's not up to you to decide who lives and who dies just for the mistakes they made," Kendall said with anger still in her voice.

"Let's agree to disagree," Axel said with a smile.

"The reinforcements have arrived to take him away," Commissioner Blake said.

"Good. You're going to be in prison for the rest of your fucking life," Kendall said.

The reinforcements came in and put Axel into the back of the police cruiser. Once they all left, Kendall, Brooklyn, and Oliver remained inside.

"Thank you, both of you, for saving me," Oliver said.

"Of course," Kendall said.

"I just helped to solve the case," Brooklyn said.

"I like you, too," Oliver said with a smile, knowing that Brooklyn had a hard time saying what she really thought. "Brooklyn, can you give Kendall and me a moment alone please?" Oliver asked.

Brooklyn nodded and left the room. They stood there in awkward silence for a few moments.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Kendall asked.

"Uh, now that the case is finished, I was wondering-, w-wondering if you'd like to-" Oliver said.

At that moment Kendall's phone rang. Kendall pulled it out. "Sorry, it can wait," Kendall said about to press ignore.

"No, take it," Oliver said.

"Are you sure?" Kendall asked.

"Yeah, you take it. I will wait," Oliver said with a fake smile, disappointed he was interrupted.

Kendall nodded and pressed accept. "Hello?" Kendall asked.

"Hello, Kendall," said the unknown caller.

"Who is this?" Kendall asked as she put it on speaker.

"Oh, Kendall, it breaks my heart that you haven't figured it out yet. This was just round one to figure out who you care for to take it all away until you have nothing left." The smile on the speaker's face could be felt. "You better be ready for round two," said the unknown caller and ended the call. Kendall looked at Oliver.

"It's not over yet," Kendall said.

"It seems not," Oliver said.
