X.

X is the god of the sun.

She's a bright, emotional, vibrant goddess.

Just their mere presence brings rainbows and sunshine throughout the planet. Bringing everyone their hopes and desires.

And then there's Four.

Four is the god of the desert.

He's a dry, sarcastic, prickly individual.

When they walk, flowers wilt, trees die, water dries up. He is the embodiment of sorrow and greed.

But when he would look up they would always be greeted by a smiling X.

Regardless of how much X tried to make Four happy, it never worked.

And so for everytime four would smile at her, they would give him a Marigold.

And for every Marigold given to him, he would smile again.

The two became close, X focusing all her light onto the desert, to make the marigolds grow, and to make him smile.

One, goddess of the moon watched as her sister made her friend smile more than she could ever make him.

And as the two gods grew closer, they grew jealous of their bond.

She contacted Two, God of the jungle, to separate them, so that she can be the one to make them smile.

And Two did.

Using all of his power they displayed hundreds of trees, bright lights, and colourful flowers, to lure her away.

And even after all the two had been through, X left.

She was drawn to the colours, and didn't look back.

With the sun gone, One was able to take control of the sky.

But what she didn't expect was the dry, mean, four she knew, the one she wanted to fix, was now emotional and tearful.

He started to cry.

The Marigolds thrived.

He cried more, and more.

The Marigolds became the new sea floor as their tears started to flood the land.

What was once a beautiful lavish planet was now an ocean, killing hundreds of objects.

Two tried to bring X back but to his avail, what was once an embodiment of hope, was now drowned in distaste. As much as they tried, eventually he was killed, as the trees of their jungle no longer reached the sky.

One tried next to stop his crying, trying to replace X's presence with her own light but being near them would just raise the tide faster. As the water rushed upwards towards her.

All she could do was watch his distress from a distance...

And to this day, he still cries, making him the god of rain, and she still watches, gradually floating back down closer to her love, making her the goddess of the tide and flood.

Pin listened as Golfball told the story once more. She fiddled with her black dress and adjusted her Vail, trying very hard to not listen to the sobs and weeps of the other survivors around her.

Which is difficult to do when you're at a mandatory funeral.

"He volunteered himself for our survival. Being a crew member of Recon Team G it was not ideal for him to be out, yet he still wanted to go for the greater good. When Recon Team A was trapped, Bomby sacrificed his life for them, he knew that we depend on that Team, and therefore for his heroic deeds, he will be placed high on the Revival list. May he rest in peace, and may we all remember him, as a symbol of hope in our world of cruelty."
