Chapter~2

"oh karam khudaya hai ,

Waleed's pov :

It was my cousin's wedding ( my aunt's daughter) . I got dressed up in a maroon sherwani that's something basic though . I didn't have enough time as I had so many meetings today .

I entered in the haveli where the nikah was going to place. Everyone was seated . I saw a girl descending down the stairs I have never seen her in this haveli . Allah knows who's she . She was very beautiful . She was wearing a simple suit a peach Color. But the theme for girls was dark blue . I was wondering where she came from ? Out of the blues ! . She was very pretty she didn't have any makeup in her face . She seemed to be sad . Then I saw my Tayi ammi catching me staring at her . Then my Tayi ammi grabbed her hand and took her to somewhere . I was just going to run behind them . Laiba came in between

"Ya Allah , yeh ladki kitni irritating hai "
I murmured under my breath .

She asked

Kya kaha aapne?
I said        Kuch nahi .

And stormed out . Where Tayi ammi left . I was thinking where should I find them in this haveli . The haveli was big but an old building though . My home was pretty much big and lovely too . My parents live in Lahore and I live in Islamabad as I have settled my business there now I was planning to shift the business to Lahore very soon . Because my pyaari ammi misses me .

I finally saw a room , the door slightly open . I saw the girl who was dragged by Tayi ammi . She was crying sitting in the corner . I couldn't control myself from asking who's  she so went in without knocking . I tapped her shoulders she saw me . Her eyes were puffed and red . And I saw some fingerprints on her face like someone has slapped her .

I ask her :

AAP ro Kyun Rahi hai ?

Iman :

Kuch nahi par aap hai koun ? Aur ander kaise aagaye Tayi ammi me dekha to problem hojayi gi .

Waleed :

Mein Waleed  zameer , aur kuch nahi hoga Aisa . Aur tumne kya kahan Tayi ammi ? Tum Kayi Shajir uncle ki to beti nahi .

When I asked this she started crying more and more . I didn't understand what has happened to her . I handed my kerchief to her and she accepted it and wiped her tears .

Iman :

Mein Iman Shakir , unki hi beti Hun abbu ke inteqal ke Baad yaha bula Liya mujhe .

Waleed :

Acha theek hai , yeh tumhare chehre Ko kya hua hai ? .

Iman :

Woh ta--yii am--mi

Waleed :

Shagufta Khala Kya ?

Iman :

Woh aapke Khala hai ?

Waleed :

Haan wo Khala hai .

Iman :

Jee, kuch nahi . Niche sab intezar kar rahe hoge chale ab aap jaye .

I know she was hiding something I was thinking did Khala slap her ? No chance . She's my sweetest Khala after all .

I nod at her .

AAP bhi aajaye I said this and left the room .

Authors pov :

The nikah ceremony took place and it was a cheerful moment . Waleed's eyes were searching for one person Iman.

Iman stayed in her room . She was not in a mood to face anyone . Soon she slept .

3 hours later :

She wakes  up hearing a knock at the door . One of the cousins she doesn't recognise anyone . She told her that taya abbu called her . Because it was rukhsati time . She fixes her hair and makeup and goes downstairs. Raina , the bride was crying and everyone was so emotional. Raina and Taya abbu only behaved nice to her . She also hugs Raina . Then everyone was back to their duty because it was their walima the very next day . Suddenly , laiba holds her hand Iman looks at her amused .
Laiba tells :  koi zaroorat nahi hai kamre mei jaane ki kya tumne khud Ko maharani samj Rakha hai yehi ruko aur kisi Ko koi cheez zarurat ho to Lakar do .

She nods at her only she knows how she feels . She stays there . It was 12 In the midnight the cousins were doing gupshup . Waleed's sister kulsoom calls her to join them . Where laiba snaps at kulsoom there is no need to call her aapi . Kulsoom glares at laiba and insists Iman to join them . The one who told her Tayi ammi called was none other than kulsoom . She was a sweet soul . She gives a warm smile to Iman and drags her to the circle . Iman sits quietly and listens to everyone . Laiba ignored Iman and holds Waleed's hand Waleed jerks away laiba's hand not before giving a look to Iman . Then laiba suddenly announced that she and Waleed are going to be engaged in 3 days.  Everyone was cheering up . Then Waleed's eyes met with Iman . Suddenly Waleed felt an urge to ask Iman what was she doing to her ? .
