YALE, sophomore year
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀Alessia started dating William last week.
He was a sweet guy. He opened her doors, he got along with her father, he was polite.
So objectively she knew there was nothing wrong with him.
He was just a guy, and she was just a girl and they were just them.
So they could exist in the mundane cycle of college relationships and breakup after college when they end up doing long distance that really makes them realize how much they don't need each other.
Morbid? Yes. But in her defense she had trust issues and failed to see her relationships last in any capacity.
Right now Logan was teasing her that if she really did like William why hadn't she invited him to the Life and Death Brigade, a secret society that was really not that secret.
"You don't even like Will. Why do you care." She folded her laundry and Logan came and sat next to her on the bed.
"Because sweetheart," He took one of her shirts from the pile and started folding it too. "I'm just trying to be your dating couch."
Sweetheart.
She almost laughed at that.
It was such a juxtaposition to the relationship they had.
Sweetheart.
He said it with such ease each time like he'd always said it.
It did something to her, she didn't know what nor did she want to interpret it.
She rolled her eyes. "I don't need relationship advice from a guy who can't hold one for crying out loud."
"I'm not talking about relationship advice Carrington." He said and held up her white underwear from the pile.
She blushed red, embarrassed.
They were close but not. . . that.
She snatched it away from him and hid them under her pillow.
He put his hands up in mock innocence. "Hey I'm just saying you just might need help in the relationship related stuff."
She gave him a look.
