The End Of Planet Earth

An individual's mind can be their greatest enemy, a fact I came to accept long ago.
What defines who we are, resides on the degree to which we allow our minds to govern our actions.
Jealousy, anger, love; common emotions as such can be the executioner of someone's life. Figuratively, and literally speaking at times.
Control. A simple word that encompasses so much, and the anchor to my sanity.
If not for it, I would've succumbed to madness at the very start of my existence.
A madness oh so twisted it scares even me.
Yet, as I hold her small cold body in my arms, as I stare at my new reason to keep my sanity in check, I can't help but question my ways.
Why hold back my twisted desires?
Why hide under the façade of a normal human being?
I'm a monster, the worst type there is.
How can I keep "control" of myself when she's gone?
That night, James Carter died, and the horrors residing deep within me took over.
This is not a revenge story, nor a noble tale of a chosen hero.
This is the story of how I ended this world, and reality itself.
........................
As I walk down the street, hands in my pockets, the monotony of this world hits me.
Humans function in interesting ways.
They exploit those beneath them to secure their own asses.
Now, you may not like the wording, but that's how things go.
The worst part of all?
It is efficient.
Stepping on others is efficient.
Looking at my reflection, from the tinted storefront window to my left, I reinforce my idea on how imperfect humans are.
If it wasn't for their slightly more developed brain, current society would be ruled by a different species.
They live in their own little world, believing themselves to be the epitome, while not knowing that earth is just a primitive planet.
A newborn asteroid in a newborn solar system of a newborn galaxy.
In, a newborn universe.
Scientists think they know, but space is so much more complex than they give it the credit for.
Though, for a primitive life form, their speculations and theories aren't quite bad.
Obviously, this only applies to the smartest ones. The majority of humans are nothing but ants in my eyes.
Well, they are way beneath ants for me, after all, a single human can be killed by an army of fire ants and do nothing about it.
How many humans would it take to take me down?
Formulating this question is as stupid as believing the earth is flat.
Directing my gaze away from my outer-fake carcass, I investigate the shop.
I see people of all kinds, lurking through the books on display in hopes of finding a work of literature to entertain their curiosity.
*Ring*
As the doorbell greets my entrance to the bookshop, I walk straight to the kid's section.
'Donna and the golden key.' Is the first title that meets my eyes, and for the first time in years, a small smile adorns my otherwise expressionless face.
I explore the pages of the book tenderly, as if holding my greatest treasure.
Memories flood my mind. The image of my little girl, the only human I ever came to love.
As expected of a kid's story, I completed it in under two minutes.
Soon after, an annoying voice called to me.
"Hey man, that's not nice. Don't you know you should pay for the book before reading it?"
I could feel the mock from a mile away.
"Mmh. I already own this book. Just wanted to read it for old times' sake."

The clerk man took a minute to digest my words. Not because they were deep, but because of the eerie tone I voiced them in.
I don't blame him.
If not for my shapeshifting, and the uncountable seals I self-implanted, my voice alone could erase his little universe.
Yet, no matter what I do to prevent it from leaking, my true nature will always come out.
The clerk took a step back when his eyes met mine. I could discern incomprehensible fear in them.
Oh.
I forgot I was smiling just moments ago.
Elisa used to say that my smile was creepy.
"Well, I'll take my leave."
Since my objective here was done, I pardoned myself and left the establishment.
I had lied to the man.
I don't own that book anymore. I lost it ten years ago.
I...
I just needed to read it one last time before doing what I'm about to do.
Looking up, I wondered what's the best way to end this place.
A rain of meteorites?
Making the sun disappear?
Altering the gravity of the planet?
So many options, yet none convince me.
"I haven't eaten in quite a while. Might as well do so now."
With my answer ready, I extend my arm, as a pulsating, reddish tattoo which wasn't there before appears along its length.
Soon, A minuscule, almost imperceptible line from the extensive collection of patterns in my arm disappears, and when I blink my eyes, I find myself out of orbit, staring down at the blue sphere called "Earth".

As my eyes reflect the planet where I spent the last 2000 years of my life, my body starts to transform.
My once human-like body explodes, my flesh and bones disintegrating into nothingness.
Then, only my core remains.
A ball of energy so dark it affects reality itself.
A millisecond later, a downgraded, sealed version of my original self emerges, yet, in front of this "inadequate" form, the planet in front of me looks like a marble, a marble so tiny I must squint my single eye to see it.
Without a moment of hesitation, I open what humans would consider a mouth.
I doubt it falls on the same category, if the pitch-black abyss residing within it is anything to go by.
As I close my teethless mouth, reminiscent of a black hole, I get to savor the dwarf blue planet, along with its moon.
I was hoping to feel relieved after doing so, yet all I could truly feel was disappointment.
"Not Enough."
My distorted voice resonates around, shaking the fabrics of time and space.
A short distance from me, I saw how Mercury overheated before exploding into a billion pieces.
What I considered but a whisper continued to spread its influence, and before I knew it, Venus and Mars followed Mercury's lead.
That seemed to be the limit of my low-voiced remark, but I wasn't done.
I've been suppressing my hunger for far too long, I needed to eat.
The rest of the planets followed, just that this time I ate them without saying a word.
The sun was the tastier star in this solar system, which is a common occurrence given the amount of energy it had in comparison to the planets that orbit around it.
*BURP*
With a small, uncharacteristic burp, three of the closest solar systems within this galaxy collapsed, their planetary integrity getting erased.
Their respective mother stars barely remained standing, which didn't last long after I spread my tentacle like limbs and brought them to my "mouth", where I swallowed them whole.

In my current state, where only two of my seals were unlocked, the limit this place can handle without collapsing, it would take me eons to swallow the 2 trillion galaxies this universe has to offer.
Yet, the idea did not annoy me.
If I had two things going for me, those would be Power and Time.
A few eons are nothing.

....................

Just felt like it...
I wanted to explore this concept for a bit.
Might do more in the future.
