I lost track of how long I'd been eating.
Limiting my thinking process to that of a human did a number on my notion of time. Even now, having gotten rid of the human flesh I wore for several centuries, my psyche remains affected.
I never had a consciousness to begin with. Not until I sealed myself as a human at least.
To this day, I don't know what I was thinking.
Was I perhaps controlled to do so by an outer god?
A primordial?
Regardless of the reasoning behind my decision, turning human allowed me to see the world in a different light.
Before, I mindlessly killed and ate civilizations. Now, I do it because I feel like it.
I'm a selfish monster after all.
If I can't be happy, why should anyone be so?
Once reality is erased, a new beginning shall occur. But until then, eating is my sole purpose.
......
A few million years later passed by the time I finished eating the last galaxy in this backwater universe.
To be fair, it took less than expected.
I may be a cosmic horror, but a rusty one, nonetheless.
Because of this embarrassing fact, a few eons of work were the deadline I placed on myself.
Was I expecting too much of this place?
As I reached the Event Horizon, the limiting barrier encompassing this baby universe also known as the "cosmos", I took a moment to admire my job.
Darkness.
An endless abyss of unadulterated, chilling darkness.
Have I ever felt this comfortable before?
Has there ever been anything I appreciated more than this void?
""Daddy! What's there for dinner?""
'!!!'
My astronomically large eye squints. A memory I hold dear flashing through my ageless mind.
I retract my previous comment.
Never have I felt greater comfort than when I was with you, Elisa.
Daddy's getting old it seems. To think I would even fathom such a comparison.
I open the black hole I have for a mouth and take a big bite out of the horizon. Before long, a portal of sorts greets me.
"The Road of Creation."
Every universe was connected by an ever-expanding circuit-like structure.
This "Road" was the means used by cosmic beings such as me to travel across the omniverse, which encompasses reality in its entirety.
The multiverse, metaverse, and any imaginary universe were connected by it.
Currently, I find myself at the very bottom of the creation spectrum.
The area in which new universes were being formed.
It appears only a few dozen universes are here, barely in their embryonic form.
"I can't eat those now."
I could do so from the inside like I just did with the "cosmos". But that would be counterproductive. No matter how many embryonic universes I eat, new ones will form eventually.
As from the outside?
I couldn't do that yet.
The current me is not big enough to eat them.
Embryonic or not, a Universe is a Universe, I would need to unlock a few more seals to eat one whole.
Which is not a very good idea when I'm currently standing on the Road of Creation.
The moment I do so, every god, ancient and primordial will notice I'm back.
They can't kill me, but they sure as hell can seal me or do some funny business with my mind.
I have a feeling they already did so in the past, though I can't seem to remember.
What I need right now is to get rid of these beings.
Even if eating them one by one is going to take a while, that's still better than getting mind fucked again and having to start over a few eons later.
Also, it's more entertaining this way.

[Current Location: Universe X985643
Galactic Associations: 25
Current Leader: Khalir Khiro
Current Leader's Rank: Lesser Overlord of War
Race: Fharkonian]
The intergalactic federation was in great turmoil.
Code name: Rodt34, a planet found in the more advanced solar system of the Bora Galaxy, one of the three greatest in this universe, was going through a power struggle with a neighboring planet, code name: Zion98.
The Galactic Association stationed in the Bora galaxy, was asking for backup from the solar systems in their jurisdiction to stop the conflict. Yet, most nations declined their instructions.
Everyone seemed to have picked a side in this war already.
*Sigh*
"From all the kingdoms and empires that could have started a conflict, it had to be those two."
A man with pointy ears and greyish skin, wearing a military blue uniform full of medals, said as he leaned backward on his seat.
Surrounding him, a group of 10 similarly-looking beings could be seen. Their sole contrasting feature was either their gender or hair color. Apart from that, they all seemed to have come from the same family.
"Ria, please report whatever you managed to collect before this headache kills me for good."
To his right, with a holographic artifact in hand, Ria, the man's secretary was standing.
Unlike the rest of the individuals in the room, her skin had a white tone. Her hair was blonde and long enough to reach her buttocks.
The green eyes in her breathtaking face, examined the holograph thoroughly, not leaving a single detail behind.
"The Kingdom of Rodt, announced a war against the Zion Empire two months ago. The reason for said war is ambiguous, but based on the latest data collected it might have something to do with the Titan Ore Asteroid recently found in Zion's territory.
Rodt's Kingdom claims that the asteroid was in their territory first, but the Zion Empire utilized unknown means to attract the asteroid toward their mother star's orbit.
The altercation is currently in a stalemate. If the Zion Empire does not give the rights of mining to Rodt's Kingdom, the latter will invade the former. "
Everyone in the room just looked at each other, their own opinions painted on their faces.
"I call bullshit."
The man in blue, the commander of Bora Galaxy's Galactic Association, was more outspoken with his opinion than the rest.
"The Zion Empire, despite residing in an advanced sector such as ours, is in no way wealthy enough to afford a tactic of this magnitude. If anything, encountering the Ore deposit will greatly improve their hierarchical position within this galaxy."
The members of the association nodded in response since they shared this point of view.
"So, how do we move from here Commander Niel? All the big shots are siding with the Rodt Royal Family, while the allies of the Zion Empire, a few hundred nations from lower backgrounds are taking their side. None seem interested in helping us intervene."
A man wearing a red military suit sitting at the far right, asked this question with palpable worry.
"This has never happened before, Lieutenant Khan. The Rodt family is one of the 10 greatest lineages in the universe, and our area of control is very limited when dealing with them. We can only hope for the main headquarters to send some backup, which I doubt they will."
A woman dressed in a white uniform raised her hand, to which Niel nodded, giving her the right to word her thoughts.
"Isn't better to just let it be? All things considered, this is an easy war for the Rodt Kingdom to win. If we can't intervene, if the headquarters can't aid us, then what is there for us to do? Instead of wasting resources, we could just let the war happen. If it comes down to it, we could intervene halfway through it, when both sides have lost a considerate number of resources and penalize whichever side we deemed to be in the wrong."
Murmurs started going around the meeting room.
Opinions were divided but the majority believed this wasn't a bad course of action to take.
Before the order of the meeting was altered, the commander-in-chief raised his voice.
"Ok, that's enough!"
Silence permeated the room.
"Division Captain Eri, though your suggestion was well received, not intervening in an unfounded dispute such as this goes against our duties. The Intergalactic Federation exists to maintain order and peace throughout the universe. As their representatives in this Galaxy, it is our call to respect these principles."
Those who were in favor of Eri's idea lowered their heads in shame, Eri included.
"If the main headquarters don't send a satisfactory response, then we look for a different way, but this war must be stopped. Am I clear!?"
"SIR, YES SIR!"
