Birds flew across the blue sky, the sun shined down on the cars below and no clouds were in sight. Cars were in rows and rows, the road was packed and each vehicle made movement little by little.

A girl in the back seat of a white car with her family was leaning back on the seat, she had black hair pulled back into some pigtails and glasses and wore a blue hoodie. Her hood was over her head as she played with a game console. A pack of chips was right beside her as her cat was napping on the other side of the back seat on a blanket.

"Hui, don't get anything there dirty." Her mum sighed glancing at the rear mirror.

Hui looked around at the seat and then laid back again,
"Clean." She said then stuffed a handful of chips into her mouth.

Both her parents had annoyed and tired expressions on their faces as the traffic went slow every second. Her dad slightly groaned and her mum just tried sleeping.
The air con in the car was on blast trying to block out all the heat. Hui casually played her game as time went on, occasionally looking down at her cat.

Hui's fingers were burning as the console became hotter every second. The moment she was about to beat the level it shut off. Hui pulled herself up keeping an awkward smile, she dropped her game consoles onto the ground and brought her knees to her chest.

"Damn it..." She contained her anger, slowly swinging her body back and forward.

The ginger cat stretched her arms and legs, yawning revealing her white fangs. The cat glanced over at Hui before walking over and pushing herself into Hui's lap. Hui looked down at her cat, gently patting her on her head. Hui sighed and held the cat close looking out the window.

"Hui." Her mom said looking back at her,
"I have a question?" She said bluntly.

Hui glanced at her, slightly narrowing her eyes,
"What is it..?"

"Plan to make friends?" Her mother said with no hesitation and quickly.
"New place means new school."

Hui awkwardly chuckled and looked away,
"Pumpkin is my friend!" She brought the cat close to her face, touching each other cheeks.
"My best friend actually!" Hui said.

Her mother sighed,
"Well, Pumpkin isn't gonna deal with your stupidity all the time." Her mum muttered making her dad slightly chuckle.

Hui awkwardly joined in with the laughing before eating a handful of chips again. Hui placed Ginger back on the car seat and leaned down to her backpack. Hui pulled out a bottle of water and started drinking it.
"When is the traffic ending?" She asked.

"Soon." Her dad replied.

Hui groaned loudly as she slowly sank into the car seat annoyed. She looked at the ceiling of the car watching nothing. Hui groaned even louder getting sick of the car and the cramped space now. She placed her water bottle down on the ground.
She started playing with the locks on the car door, trying to entertain herself. Pumpkin gently and carefully climbed on top of Hui's head and then sat on her.
It really didn't bother Hui and didn't even make her react, she just flickered the lock of the car.

A few seconds went by, Hui felt the cat start vibrating, she got up and looked at her parents.
"What's that?" She asked.

"Biker Gangs..." They both said.

Hui looked out the window and saw a guy with a red gang jacket on Zoom by the lines of cars.

"What...-" She then saw a bunch of other guys with white jackets zoom by, they all wore gang uniforms and the whole group passed the red light ignoring the traffic.
"That's illegal!" Hui said.

"Yes, it is. But if you like living the way you live then don't even think about talking or even deal with them!" Her dad warned.

All Hui could feel a pang of jealousy,
"They get to skip traffic while I have to suffer up in here... " She gritted her teeth and then banged her head against the car door.

Her parents looked at each other and sighed.

"Tokyo has a serious problem with gangs of all sorts and if you get yourself stuck in one, better pray you come out with just a broken limb." Her mum said.

Hui nodded.

"Also don't go into abandoned buildings, or anywhere that looks deserted because that's where the fights go down and also don't stay out late at night!" Her dad warned.

"Why are you telling me this, I barely even leave my room." Hui reminded.

"That's true." Her mum sighed.

After what felt like an eternity to Hui, they finally arrived home at sunset, pulling into their driveway for the first time.
Hui quickly hopped out of the car and fell backwards onto the green grass, Pumpkin hopped out of the car and landed on Hui's face then jumped off to the nearest tree.

Hui looked up at the sky watching the clouds go by, she slowly grinned finally being free from the car. Then suddenly her backpack was thrown onto her face, she sat up from the ground and looked at her mum who was staring down at her.

"Get up and grab the boxes, the rest of the things will be here from the moving truck." Her mum said walking off with 2 large boxes in her arms into the house.

Hui quickly got back onto her feet and grabbed a box with all her stuff, she put on the backpack and walked inside. The house had a big hallway and an easy access to all the rooms. Hui watched her mum start opening up the windows, letting some air in. Hui started walking around the house, out of instinct she started looking around for the kitchen. When entering the kitchen, she placed down her box and started looking through the boxes her dad had brought in. Hui was disappointed when all she saw was just utensils, pans and pots in the box. She stood up and leaned on the counter, after a few seconds she left the kitchen to venture into the house even more.

While walking down a hallway with her box, she noticed a door with a piece of paper with her name written on it. She walked into a bedroom and looked down at the mattress on the floor. Hui quickly threw the box onto the mattress and started to rip it open and started rummaging through it. After looking through it, she pulled out another game console that was similar to her first one that overheated. She casually laid down on the bed on her stomach and started playing with it as Pumpkin walked into the room. Pumpkin laid beside her, peacefully taking a nap.

Time went by and Hui was still in the room. Her mum came into her room swinging the door open and threw a slipper at her head. Hui looked at her over her shoulder, rubbing the back of her head.
"Hui! Get off your butt and go do something around the house!" She shouted.

Hui sat up straight and sighed,
"Yea... okay-"

"Actually," her mum paused, "since you're just going to be in your room all day might as well go buy some food." Her mum suggested.

Hui nodded; she knew her mum wasn't actually suggesting but commanding her to do it. She left her room going past her mum on the way to the front door. Hui brushed past some boxes on her way there, she started putting her shoes on at the door and left the house putting the hood over her head as she walked down. While leaving her house, she stopped and looked across the street seeing her Neighbour's house. Being curious, she focused her vision to look at the nameplate closer.

"Sano... What a short last name," she sighed and continued walking,
"Why does my family have to be called 'Yoshida'... so long..." She muttered.
