Iaih

I found myself at the park, nestled amongst the trees with my Bible in hand. This was my sanctuary, my special place to spend time with God. Today, Josh Chen didn't show up. Instead, it was the boy from church who always sat beside me.

"Why are you here all alone?" he asked, his voice breaking the silence.

"I'm not, I'm spending my time with God," I replied, my eyes never leaving the pages of my Bible.

"Oh, can I join?" he asked

I nodded, curious about his sudden interest in God. I hoped he truly believed, for he had always struck me as a good guy.

I noticed him glancing at my Bible, a soft smile playing on his lips.

"I always see you reading the Bible. It's cute," he said, causing me to blush.

He was also quick to notice the scratch on my arm, his concern evident in his voice.

"Is your scratch okay?" he asked. His caring nature took me by surprise. I had never imagined someone like him showing such concern for me.

In that moment, a thought crossed my mind. Could he be the one? The one God had been preparing for me? Had my prayers been answered? As I was lost in my thoughts, he asked me something.

"Yeah, thank you for checking," I replied, touched by his thoughtfulness.

"Always," he said, his voice full of sincerity.

"Do you date?" he asked, catching me off guard.

I paused for a moment before replying, "No, I only date to marry." He chuckled, saying, "Oh, expected."

There was something endearing about his humor. As he stood up to leave, I couldn't help but feel a pang of excitement. "Sure," I replied, watching him walk away.

Once he was gone, I returned to my Bible, my mind still buzzing from our conversation. As I read the words on the page, I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace. I knew that no matter what happened, God was guiding me, and I trusted in His plan.
