Chapter Nine

[Chapter Nine: The Farewell]

Once the princess has finally gone out of my sight. Someone just covered my eyes and my mouth. Feels like persons were taking me to somewhere. I then just drop the sword I am holding because of their force.

After a while, someone just takes off their hand from covering my eyes and my mouth.

I then look to who was those guys and see it was some guards.

What are they doing?
I then look at the entrance of the dark room where they take me. Where is this place? I haven't seen this place anymore? But I do think this still a part of the castle. Maybe a hidden place?

I was surprised when I saw Prince Carl entering the entrance. When he finally entered. Someone just close the door behind the door.

What are they doing?

Prince Carl then walks towards me. But with a very strange stare.

I was surprised when he suddenly get the sword behind his back and point it to my leg.

"I just noticed, young knight that you were just close to my ex wife" prince Carl said.

"Are you just really his knight? Or... Do you... Do you have a feelings for the princess? " he continued

That time, I do already know what's going on. That's why I feel like someone is behind the door, so if ever ran out. I can't really escape from him.

"Even if I do, your Highness. I still can't do anything to it. Also, I do respect your relationship between the princess. " I said but he just laugh slightly

"Don't worry. I don't really like the princess. So I'm giving you a permission to like her. I can't deny that the princess has a look that will really attract men. So I won't blame you for liking her" the prince said

"But, it's sad. That she had to die early. " the prince continued that made me surprised.

"I know you've been listening behind the wall that night, young knight. And I notice that you've been really close to the princess. People call me dumb but I am not that dumb to don't notice how close the princess is to his personal knight. " the prince continued.

"The princess really loves you for real, but the only thing you do is treat her like a sh*t. I'm sorry, your Highness. But the princess don't deserve a treatment like that. Even though I am not his knight anymore. I'll still do my job to protect her. "

"Let's see.... Let's see young knight. You should fight me first before even threatening me like that, huh. You should know who you were talking to. You are just a knight" he said and after attacked me by his swords. But since I already expected it, I perfectly dodge all of his attacks. But the thing that made me out of focus, when someone just barged in the door. I got attacked in my arms that made my clothes ripped.

Even before I entered my room. I heard a sound like a steel falling in the ground. I then look at where part I heard it. And when I was at the door. I then saw something shiny from the outside since the door in the castle is open.

I walk towards it and realize it was a sword.
I then grab the sword and see a name on it.

ndrew Hoffman.

I then look to my left and right and see no one there. Since it's the dead end in my right corner. I went to the left side and see if ever I saw someone. It's impossible that Andrew will just throw this here. Then I remembered what Andrew just told me last time.

*FLASHBACK*

"Princess, I guess the prince were planning to do something to you" Andrew

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I then just rushed towards the castle and roam around until I saw a big hole in the end of the castle. I then walk towards it and realize it was a way from the other side of the castle. I then walk inside it until I saw a guards in front of the big wooden door.
I haven't seen this part of the castle before. I then walk towards the guard but all of them reacted shock.

"Princess, what are you doing here? " a guard asked me

"Is the prince inside? " I asked

"Y... Yes princess, but the prince told us to don't let anyone enter whoever it was" the other guard said

"I don't care. Let me in" I commanded

"I'm sorry princess" the guard said

I then just barged in the door to the moment I sense they least expected but I was just too surprised when I saw Carl's attacking Andrew. Andrew looks at me , looking surprised. That made Carl also looks to the side where Andrew's looking.

When I see that Andrew got attacked by Carl in his arms I then quickly go after him.

"Princess,what are you doing? " he asked that made me look at him but then look at Carl after

"What are you doing, Carl? Why are you doing this to him? " I asked but I didn't expected what Carl just reacted. He then just laugh a little.

"Looks who's cheating? Isn't the both of us. " he said smirking

"I am not. " I answered

"Really? But I can see that you were really concerned to him. Just the way you hurried when you see I hit him, right? " he continued

"He's my knight. Even though he's not anymore. He's still become my personal knight. "

"Oh really? " Carl said while raising his brows

"You just don't treat other people like this Carl. That's why you are saying that. You are treating people based on just their rank" I continued

I then look at Andrew again

"Go now. And leave. Don't ever come back again" I said but Andrew just look at him.

"Pls Andrew. Go. Now" I said once again but he was just looking at me. So I walk closer to him and hold both of his shoulders. Facing him and Turning my back to Carl.

"Andrew. Do you hear me? I SAID. GO. NOW" I said once again but I was surprised when he just suddenly grab me towards his position and he is now in the position where I am a second ago.
