After their mom dropped them off at school, Suki said "ok, time for a hellish day." "agreed" replied Xaio. Suki started walking off to her homeroom. As soon as Suki walked in, she heard a whisper, knowing it was about her she hung her head low and went to her seat. The whispers continued as the teacher was talking. The teacher noticed the talking and yelled "If I hear you people talking one more time, I'm sending you all to the office and you can continue your conversation there. "gladly" said one kid as he walked out the classroom and slammed the door. "Anybody else?" said the teacher." another kid walked out and said "well, you only live once." and walked out. School had just started, and she already wanted it to be over.
Time skip to 5th period
Suki heard the bell ring, she knew she was late, but she could care less, infact it helped her evade some of the insults she could have endured."Ms. Yasodai why are we late again?" "Locker problems" she replied. "This is the fifth time, I'm afraid I'm going to have to see you after class." everyone in the classroom ooh'd as she sat down.
Time skip to after class
"Suki, this cannot be happening anymore, you need to stop being late to your classes. Well, you have to go to your next class, don't be late to it" the teacher said. suki shrugged it off and went to her next class in her next class the teacher wasn't talking about the stuff she usually talked about "ok everybody, I know your all excited about the 10,000-dollar competition so we still have to wait for two more people to be chosen from this school. " Imagine somebody like Suki gets picked." Suki's bully said as they laugh "Hey anybody can get picked at this point." "Somebody like Suki? no way." "Out in the hall now Mr. Luke." "Ugh this is your fault, Suki. I can't wait for school to be over she thought.
After school Suki and her brother Nico were walking home from school, Suki would unlock the door and Nico would get the mail. unlike Suki, Nico was loved by his peers and was a popular kid in the school.
When Nico got the mail, he was expecting it he knew he would be chosen, but he didn't even know who he would bring. "what's that?" Suki said as she noticed the note but didn't recognize it. "I think it is more bills for mom and dad." Nico said while trying to cover the fact that it wasn't actually bills. As soon as Suki unlocked the door Nico rushed to his room.
The note read "Dear Nico Yasodai, we know you saw this coming, you know you saw it coming, you have been invited to our ten-thousand-dollar competition, you are allowed to bring one person along with you. the requirements for the requested person, they must be the same grade as you and they must have permission Aswell do you need permission. We need you to come to our Convention Center at March 24th, 2024." the letter went on and on while Nico read in suspicion. As Nico finished reading he had already figured out who he would bring with him
