Tears stung Jay's eyes as Nya's stared past them. Wide and distant, they continued to gaze towards the ocean waves tumbling on the horizon. Her watery form seemed new, strange, almost unrecognizable.
Except for her eyes.
A new shape, a new color, even a new glow that reflected the incredible power she had held. But they were still obviously her's. His Nya's
And they couldn't see him.
She couldn't hear his pleas, or feel when his hands slipped right through her liquid form. Nya's eyes continued to stare absently towards the sea.
She couldn't see. And Jay couldn't stop her.

I love this moment! I might think about these two too much. And... I probably won't post it here, but I think I'm going to go write another fic from this prompt word of this moment, but from Kai's point of view. Because Nya was so distant here that she DIDN'T TALK TO HIM.
If I got a nickel every time Nya "died " and the focus was on Jay, leaving Kai (her older brother AND the boy who raised her!) as an afterthought: I'd have two nickel. Which isn't very much, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?
I really love Jaya with all my heart... but still.
