Yae Miko waited for her for as long as she could remember, springs passed without her by her side like a pause in time, she had lived with the hope that she would return, she remained faithful throughout the years of her absence, 'She will come back' Yae Miko would tell herself during the loneliest moments, what she didn't expect was that an Outlander would be the one to bring her back, Yae Miko trained the Outlander day and night for the moment they'll confront the Raiden Shogun, it was a bet, a dangerous bet but Yae Miko had hope, had hope that peace will once again return to Inazuma and bring back her lover.
Yae Miko traced the veins of the Sacred Sakura tree, reminiscing about her moments with the Raiden Shogun, how just centuries ago, she had knelt and vowed to her, to forever be by her side, yet she was dimensions away from the Raiden Shogun, won't one call her a failure of a servant? Of a lover? Yae Miko sighed, all she wanted was for her to return, to be able to hold her hands and intertwine their fingers together yet it all felt like a distant dream.
"Yae" a voice called out for her, a familiar voice, serene yet soft like the reflection of the moon by the Narukami Shrine's ponds, Yae Miko quickly turned around,
"Ei" the figure that she had longed for, her purple hair fluttered under the night sky and her purple eyes reflected worry, but worry for what? Yae Miko approached the Raiden Shogun, she was the same as ever, as beautiful as the cherry blossoms of the Narukami Shrine,
"I'm back" she muttered, her fingers tucking her hair behind her ears, "I'm sorry for–" Before the Raiden Shogun could finish her words, Yae Miko hugged her tightly, her eyes teary as she looked at her and softly placed her tender hands on Raiden Shogun's cheek.
"Don't leave me ever again" she pleaded, tears falling down Yae Miko's cheek, she is her everything and always will be.
"I'm sorry" the Raiden Shogun returned the hug awkwardly.
"No, you're not"
"Yes I am"
"Then you owe me a Valentine's Day date" Yae Miko smiled through her tears,
"Okay, I'll cook"
"No, I will"
'Thank you, Archons, for bringing her back, I vow to always be by her side, for eternity'
