Once again it's your turn.
Reaching into the bag, you reach around for a few seconds until a strange feeling object falls into your palm and you pull it out.
"A tiny hammer." You mutter, staring at the little black object.
"Ooo! That's me!" An excited voice called from behind you.
Turning around, you spotted Lavi looking at you with a boyishly happy grin on his face.
He hooked one arm in yours and dragged you into the closet.
"Seven minutes starting now!" He hummed, closing the doors himself.
~~~
As soon as you were away from prying eyes, the one eyed exorcist sighed and sat down against the wall, a pout on his face.
You stare at him in confusion. He seemed so happy before.
"What's wrong?" You ask.
Lavi just pouted even further. "I was really hoping that Leenallee would pick me..."
You felt your heart constrict painfully.
Sure, you had a crush on the boy, but you had never said anything about it.
"You... You like Leenallee?" You ask in shock, your voice shaky.
The auburn haired boy didn't seem to notice as he slouched even further.
"Yeah." He mumbled into his collar. "I wanted to use this time to tell her how I feel, but the only person she's gone in here with is you."
You felt your heart shatter even further.
The boy you liked was in love with one of your best friends.
Lavi looked up at you with that one green eye of his that you loved so much.
"What should I do? Should I tell her? I don't wanna seem desperate or anything, but I really like her. What do you think I should do?"
There he goes; unintentionally stomping on the little broken pieces of your heart.
But you didn't say anything.
You didn't shout, you didn't scream, you didn't do anything.
You weren't a bad person. You wouldn't try and make him feel guilty when he was opening his heart out to you.
"W-well... Why don't you pretend that I'm... That I'm... L-Leenallee... What would you say to her?"
Lavi stared at you for a moment before standing up and exhaling, his eye closed.
When he opened it again, his eye seemed ever so slightly glazed over.
"Leenallee... I know we haven't known each other for too long, but working along side you... It just makes me so happy."
You felt your heart clench.
'He isn't talking to you.'
"The way you laugh and the way you smile, it just lights up my whole day!"
'He isn't talking to you.'
A blush formed along his face and he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"I really like you. A lot. I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime?"
'He isn't talking to you!'
You're heart squeezed again and you felt the tears forming in your eyes as the one eyed exorcist returned to normal and smiled expectantly down at you.
"So? How was that?"
You couldn't take it anymore.
Grabbing him by the collar, you pulled the tall boy down to your level and kissed him.
You squeezed your eyes shut as the tears leaked out of them as you felt Lavi's body go rigid in shock.
You tried to move your lips against his, but they remained frozen and unmoving.
Finally, you pushed away with a sob and vainly tried to wipe at your tears.
Lavi was staring at you with shocked wide eyes.
"You...?"
You nodded shakily and his eyes widened even further.
"I... I didn't know-"
"Just forget it!" You snapped, cutting him off.
Whipping around, you slammed the closet doors open and ran out crying.
You heard Leenallee call your name and rest a hand on your shoulder.
"Are you alright?! What's wrong?!"
You glanced up at her. The girl who stole him from you.
A fresh wave of tears overtook you and you shook her off.
"Get away from me!" You snarled, then forced your way through the crouds to get away.
You didn't even stop when you heard Lavi call desperately after you.
You just had to get out of there.
