The night had settled in by the time I reached the school. I dropped my luggage onto the bed in a hurry and headed out for some fresh air. Carrying just my notepad and pen, I made my way to the schoolyard. I needed to unload the mess, My mind was a mess, and I had to get it all down on paper.
The weight of the day's events hung heavy on my shoulders, suffocating me with every breath. I needed to break loose soon so I quickened my pace or else I would break, break down entirely I didn't want that no I couldn't let that happen. If I went back in that spiral there was no way I would survive this time. no..no pls, calm down Iris you can do it calm down.
I took a few deep breaths and continued walking. As I quickened my pace, the moonlight cast long shadows across the path, guiding my way through the darkness. But just as I began to lose myself in the rhythmic crunch of gravel beneath my feet, a prickling sensation crept up my spine.
Glancing back, I half-expected to catch a glimpse of a lurking figure. But the darkness remained still, void of any visible threat. Dismissing the feeling, I pressed on, my steps quickening in rhythm with my racing heartbeat. But as I approached the secluded sitting area, the sound of pebbles clinking together grew louder, echoing in the stillness of the night.
My heart leaped into my throat as I spun around, my senses on high alert. But all I saw was the empty pathway, bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight casting eerie shadows.
With a flick of my pen, I armed myself, the cool metal a reassuring weight in my hand. With my makeshift weapon at the ready, I continued forward, my senses on high alert unsure of what—or who—might be following me, creeping around. As I approached the bleachers, a sudden grip on my shoulder startled me, prompting a reflexive jab with my pen. "My, my, getting feisty, are we?" he remarked, his tone mocking as he grabbed my arm just in time before it pierce his skin.
"Let go, Vaughn," I demanded, my voice edged with irritation, my patience wearing thin.
His lips curled into a chilling smirk. "It's Morozov to you," he corrected, his tone cold and condescending.Ugh I couldn't deal with him right now I am so on the edge just one push and I'll be down the cliff.
I rolled my eyes, unimpressed by his arrogance. "Whatever you say, Morozov," I retorted, my sarcasm evident as I continued to struggle against his grip.I wrenched my hand away from his grasp, his amusement only fueling my frustration. But as his gaze fell upon the bandage on my forehead and the cut on my lip, his expression shifted, anger flashing in his eyes.
"Who?" he demanded, his voice sharp with intensity as he tried reaching out to cup my face. I backed as I didn't wanted to be touched by anyone I just wanted to left alone.
I looked into his eyes pleading as to not move ahead but to turn around walking away from here leaving me alone. He ignored it and cupped my face to examine it, memories flooded my mind, each one more painful than the last. With a surge of panic, I pushed him away, my voice trembling with fear and overwhelmed with emotions. "Don't touch me!" I cried out, my words echoing in the night as I turned and fled, the tears fighting to get into my eyes.
I ran, my footsteps each one a desperate attempt to escape the memories that haunted me.
"LENNOX, WAIT!" His voice pierced through the night, but I refused to stop, my feet carrying me away from him, from everything. "You'll regret this if you don't come back!" His threat hung heavy in the air, but I paid it no heed, my heart pounding with every step I took.I glanced back once, catching his silhouette in the dark. He stood there, like a stubborn shadow refusing to fade. But I didn't have time for his brooding. Ignoring his looming presence, I hurried onward, leaving him behind in the depths of the night.
Tears blurred my vision as I raced back to the safety of my room and slammed shut my door, throwing myself onto the bed, screaming in my pillow, crying my lungs out.
I find myself in a familiar playground, the sun casting a warm glow over the scene. The laughter of children filled the air as I played alongside a boy my age... his chestnut brown hair gleaming in the sunlight just as same as mine...he had those blue eyes that were filled with joy, We ran and laughed, carefree and happy, with two adults watching us from a nearby bench, their smiles warm and reassuring...But then...without warning, the peaceful scene shattered. Bullets tore through the air, and my heart lurched with fear. I turned to the adults for safety, only to find them lying motionless, covered in blood their eyes empty and lifeless. Panic surged through me, freezing me in place as the chaos unfolded.
The boy, sensing the danger, grabbed my hand and pulled me behind the slide, his arms wrapping around me protectively as we cowered together. The sound of gunfire echoed around us, each shot a sharp reminder of the danger we faced.
Suddenly, a figure in a black suit emerged from the chaos, dragging the boy away from me. I reached out desperately, my voice lost in a scream as he disappeared from view. An older man appeared then, lifting me up in his arms and carrying me away from the danger. But I fought against him, my small fists pounding against his chest as I screamed for the boy, for someone to save us. "No, leave me! Leave him! Where are you taking me? No!" My cries echoed through the empty playground, lost in the darkness.
Suddenly I woke up huffing and puffing all sweaty, desperately try to catch a breath.
This nightmare again...but I thought this was over a long time ago, I guess I was wrong its back...back again to haunt me again. Fuck. Fuck...no...------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
