Pov Ricky
*Flashback, Sunday*
"Bye hyung!"
"Come back quickly, okay?"
"Don't worry."
Ricky smiled, and quickly went out of the house. He wanted to buy a new, mini stand for his room.
His stands were almost running out of space in his room, so he needed one for his new albums and merch.
He was making his way to the store, when he started feeling strange, and just suddenly shivered.
It wasn't cold at all. The weather was really nice that day. So maybe it was just his imagination.
But it wasn't. He started walking again, and all of a sudden felt a hand covering his mouth.
He pulled him into a dark alley, which made Ricky start shaking. He wasn't scared of the dark. But that was scary.
He tried to move his head, to at least see who was it, but he couldn't move an inch. That man was holding him tightly.
"Long time no see, Ricky."
He knew that voice. He was sure he knew it. But why did he know it? Who could it be, and why?
"Do you remember me? Oh, right, you can't see me. It's okay."
Fuck, I know who this is. Jiwoong's ex.
The man who was the main reason why Ricky's body was still full of wounds and bruises.
"If you want me to let you go, you have to do something for me."
Ricky nodded, willing to do anything in order to be set free. But he couldn't imagine what that man would ask.
"You will stop anything you have with Jiwoong. You won't call him, text him, live with him, breathe next to him. Stop seeing him."
Ricky's heart broke. At that moment, he preferred to die than stay away from Jiwoong. But that couldn't happen.
So he forcefully agreed, and that man let go off him. Ricky fell onto the ground, while shaking.
The man left, and Ricky managed to get up, and slowly walk home. To his own. And he just texted Jiwoong; 'Something happened with my dad. I have to go home, be safe. See you soon.'
And he just shut down his phone, so he wouldn't see any messages from Jiwoong that would make his life worse.
But soon he heard a knock on the door. He was scared to open it, but also wanted to.
So he decided to do it. Whatever had to happen would happen soon or later. So he opened the door, and saw Matthew looking at him.
"Matt! Come in, quickly!"
"Woah- are you okay?"
"No, lemme explain real quick."
Ricky explained everything, and Matt was looking at him, shocked and scared at the same time.
"And that's why I have to stop seeing him. But- but I love him! Ugh!"
*End of flashback*
"Hyung. Go to school."
Ricky said as he saw Jiwoong in front of his house. He really wanted to hug him, but he couldn't.
Jiwoong turned around, and saw the younger looking at him with a cold look, like how he did when he claimed he hated him.
"Ricky-"
"Go! I don't- I don't want to see you... Again."
Jiwoong's face became pale, and Ricky felt really bad. He wished none of this had happened. He wanted to have a normal life.
"What are you looking at? Hyung, go."
He was still calling him hyung. He wanted to show him somehow that deep inside him, he didn't mean it.
The elder was looking at him, not with a sad, or confused look. But with an understanding one.
So Jiwoong started to slowly going backwards, getting out of Ricky's sight. And the younger didn't know for how long.
He really hoped that it wouldn't take a lot of time. That he would soon be next to the only person he loved the most.
The only person who made him feel safe with just one hug, since the day they hugged for the first time.
"I love you, hyung."
Ricky whispered, and fell down on his knees. He felt hot tears streaming down his face, and closed his eyes.
At that moment, all he wanted to do was disappear. Or even better, die. He had never felt as shitty as that day.
He felt like the whole world was spinning. He was feeling dizzy, so he quickly went into his house, and sat down on the couch.
He didn't care about the presentation, or anything else. Only about Jiwoong, and how he made him sad.
If he could go back the time, he would've never left the house without Jiwoong by his side.
He was blaming himself for all that. He didn't know why, or what he did wrong, most likely nothing, but he was still blaming himself.
He would always do that, even if he knew that he did nothing wrong. Even when he had nothing to do with it.
Now he wanted to see Jiwoong more than what he usually did. But he couldn't see him.
And he also couldn't skip school every single day. So what could he do? If Jiwoong's ex found out that he was seeing him, he'd kill them both.
It's not that he cared about his own life anyways. He wasn't afraid of death. But he couldn't let anyone hurt Jiwoong.
He then remembered what Jiwoong had told him that day when Ricky saved him from his ex.
'It's just that I... Feel so weak, and that if you were in danger, I wouldn't be able to save you, like you did. I wouldn't be able to save anyone.'
"But you saved me, hyung. From someone worse than your ex."
He smiled slightly, and called Matthew. At that moment, he was the only available one there.
"Please, come here. I need some company, I'm gonna cry."
He murmured, and hung up, waiting for Matthew to show up. And even tho it took him some time, Matthew knocked the door.
"Matthew!"
Ricky said, and quickly opened the door, letting Matthew in. He wished it was Jiwoong instead, but that couldn't happen again.
