Time Fast-Forward: Present Day

(P.S.: they both came back home that night)

Dew's POV

I had fallen asleep imagining how our story ended up till here. The shrieking noises of tires woke me up with a jolt. I pulled the sheets off and sprinted towards my window.

His father was loading their furniture in a huge mover's truck. Sia then stepped out of the house with her packed suitcase, looking defeated. A few people were helping in loading their belongings.

They are actually moving and this time it might be for way longer than I could think of.

Just then, Sky stepped out. His face was expressionless. He was not sad, angry, or disappointed because he had given up since there was nothing left to fight for.

Last night, I didn't know what he had to go through. His window curtains were pulled, and he left no message. The will in me to rush downstairs and somehow stop their family had started to overpower me,

But what could I possibly do to stop them?

He was walking towards his car when he turned around and looked up at my window. I quickly wiped the teardrop off hoping he didn't see it and waved at him slowly. He forced a smile again and waved back to me.

After seeing him turn around, I came back to my bed. There was no way I was turning back to see him again.

Goodbye, my friend.

Sky's POV

I kept forcing a smile until I saw him wave back to me. How I wished he would rush downstairs and stop me.

Yet so, what could we possibly do? All of reality seemed against it.

Goodbye, my friend.

I continued walking towards the car and I had no plans on turning back to see him again.

Dew's POV

Just then, my room door opened, and Mom walked in. "You're up early," she said. After a couple of seconds, she sat beside me keeping a hand on my shoulder, consoling me.

I sighed, "Is it wrong of me to love him, Ma?" I asked as there formed a lump in my throat making it difficult for me to hold back all those emotions,

She cupped my face as a tear drop rolled down her cheek, "Or did I not deserve love?" I asked again as my voice kept breaking,

"Nothing in love is wrong, son. That is what it teaches you, it teaches you to hold on," she replied,

"What is left to hold on to now?" I felt the last bits of hope leaving me,

"I did not raise you to be weak, Dew. Only fortunate people are blessed enough to find love. So, are you just going to sit here and give up on it?"

"I don't want to disappoint Dad, again. What could I possibly do?"

Just then, a knock was heard on my door. Dad stood at the entrance of my room,

"Since when did you start giving up? Is this again something Sky taught you?" he said in a sarcastically stern voice,

I couldn't comprehend what he meant or what he was trying to say,

"The problem is between his father and me, why should you both be taking responsibility for that?" he said quoting my words.

I was stunned. Utterly taken aback.

"Dad?" I asked to confirm if he meant what I was thinking of. He looked at me and smiled, "Go fight for what is yours while I try to solve my problems as well," he said,
