I messaged him out of frustration, he replied in concern,
I was bold and talkative, he silent, observant in turn.

I deviated, said nothing, he created the path clear,
Worth hating, he chose love, in the midst of my fear.

I pushed him hard, hoping he'd leave my thoughts, depart,
Regretting, I reached out again, a second chance to start.

Yet when I asked to be friends once more, he agreed, carefree.

Realizing, I decided to be silent, observant, to refrain.

In the end, I held our friendship, the burden mine to bear,
Delighted yet burdened, it seemed, in the silence we shared.
