Percy Jackson was sure his life couldn't get any weirder. Surely not any weirder than his pre-algebra teacher turning full on demon lady in a wing suit and slicing up one of his classmates. Surely not any weirder than being rushed to a place called "Camp Half-Blood." Surely not much weirder than your best friend telling you he's a satyr, which basically means half goat person. And surely not any weirder than being told you're a demigod while you hold the pressure on your bleeding classmate's wound who also happens to be a demigod as well. For you to understand anything Percy was talking about he had to tell you about the almost getting attacked part.
Percy felt like time slowed down as he watched Katherine jump in front of him as his pre-algebra teacher Mrs. Dodds came rushing at him. He almost couldn't breathe until everything came rushing back into focus. Katherine hit the floor by the Achilles statue and her blood began to make a crimson pool on the floor next to her and Percy could feel his stomach churn.
"Oh, oh my god!" His eyes traveled back to Mrs. Dodds, or what used to be Mrs. Dodds which was now coming towards him, muttering about a bolt.
"Where is it, filthy half-blood?" Percy could feel his eyes vibrate inside his head, What is happening? Before he had time to answer Mrs. Dodds grabbed the front of his shirt and pushed him to the floor crawling on top of him, a claw finding its way to his neck. Her hot breath fanned his face as she spoke again, "Tell me where it is or you die," Percy felt his eyes widen at the pain increasing on his neck.
"I swear I don't-" He was cut off by what was Mrs. Dodds that became a winged demon, disintegrated into dust on top of him and on the floor next to him. He pushed himself up on his hands to see Katherine standing over him, a sword in her hand as she leaned against the Theseus statue, catching her breath and clutching her side. A sword? His eyes traveled back to the two foot long sword hanging casually out of the girl's hand, a purple hilt engraved with something he could make out as; 'To the worthy one.' The second thing he noticed was the blood that seemed to be soaking what used to be her very white shirt. "Are- um, here," He muttered walking over to the girl, being careful of the sword and bringing his arm under her shoulders to bear some of her weight.
"Thanks, Percy," She smiled weakly at him, her head lulling towards the ground as she pulled her sword up to her face. Percy watched in awe as she placed the blade delicately against the bridge of her nose and had to blink a few times as he watched the once terrifying and sharp sword turn into the pair of glasses she was wearing only moments before she jumped in front of him. "We need to find Chiron," She said, pushing off of the Theseus statue and gripping onto his hand for dear life as they made their way to the exhibit doors.
"Who's Chiron?" He heard Katherine scoff slightly as she squeezed his hand tightly, a sign of how painful what he now noticed were three giant slash marks across her stomach and chest.
"Mr. Brunner, we need to find him. Actually, you need to find him and Grover," Percy almost couldn't believe the girl as she stopped beside him and took a seat below another statue that he recognized as Hercules, "Bring them back here as soon as you can, okay? I don't want to pass out before you get back, so hurry. I'll explain, or someone will explain everything but right now I don't have time, so, can you do that?" Percy could only nod as he watched the girl wince in pain when she placed her hand firmer against her skin.
Percy hurried out of the exhibit his mind in shambles. How did this happen? He bumped into someone as he searched for Mr. Brunner and didn't even get to say sorry before he spotted Grover speaking to their Greek mythology teacher, both of them looking concerned.
"Mr. Brunner!" Percy practically shouted his name, and watched as the old man faced him shocked and concerned.
"Yes, Percy?" The old man spoke too slowly for Percy's taste. A girl was bleeding out in the other room and Percy couldn't even think straight, he felt like he was going to pass out.
