Chapter 56 -- False sense of Security --

After safely making your way off Rishi you meet Rex on the Remora a short ways outside the Lambda Sector near Tatooine. Tech had rotated out with Hunter as ship pilot soon after setting course and you had also gotten in a short nap before co-piloting with your captain the remainder of the way. Omega and Wrecker had both popped up into the cockpit at different points to chat but it was mostly you and Hunter for the majority of the flight.

Once the Remora was in sight Tech was back up front to pilot the ship into position for the connection docking. Omega waited eagerly at the door and was the first off, eagerly running up to Rex who had been waiting on the other side with Echo, and another clone you hadn't seen before. Granted if you had seen one face you had seen them all, however this one was different.

Omega hugged Rex who had kneeled down to meet her before jumping over to Echo and then shaking the hand of the new clone. Hunter followed down shortly after with you following just behind.

"Looks like everything went smoothly" Rex commented to Hunter who nodded with Tech adding "Given our track record, that is to be expected".

"Good to have you back again" Rex smiled with a chuckle shaking Hunter's hand.

"I've missed you guys" Echo says as you give him a warm smile and a hug.

"We've missed you too" you reply "even if we don't all mention it" you add on glancing over at Tech. Echo smiled, knowing what you were implying.

You all move together down into the main area where you see quite a few more clones then you had expected. The clone that had walked down with Rex and Echo was indeed a new face, even if his face was shared by almost everyone on board. His name was Chance and there appeared to be five others in his group that Rex had picked up just before meeting up with you.

"The Bad Batch" one of them { Kal } had said slowly as you had all approached "not surprised to see you guys are still out running around".

Hunter, Tech and Wrecker seemed to become tense at the clone's comment but Rex intervened saying "makes me glad they're helping us out. Half this operation is possible because of them".

"You guys have something for us?" Echo asked, steering the conversation away from the tension and Tech nodded, throwing another glance to the clone who had made the snide comment; "Affirmative, the clones we met on Rishi wanted to pass this on."

Tech pulled out the computer chip and handed it to Nemec who was seated in front of the computer table inside the commons-galley side of the ship. You and Omega slid onto the wall couch next to another clone with Wrecker sliding in on the end. The remainder kept standing or gathered around the holo-table. It made you feel quite boxed in with how many clones there were and you heard the cockpit door slide open across the room, soon seeing Gergors cheery face in the crowd. His voice was distinct from the others.

"Hope you didn't start without me" he chuckled, walking up to join the circle of clones around the table. He stepped to the far side, standing next to whoever you were seated with. In total there were 14 clones present with most of them standing around the table or close enough to see. Almost two complete squads.

The computer began to load up the information with Tech entering different codes into a side panel attached to the table and moving the holographic display to show all the data without it overlapping.

"What is this? Fireball asked, raising one eyebrow and leaning towards the images.

"It would appear to be a map" Tech replied "at least from the coding and encryptions I have uncovered"

"Where did you guys get this? Asked another clone { Sidis } standing in the circle.

"Simmy gave it to us" Omega said and Hunter added "Simmy copied it off of the clone prisoner transport him and two other clones escaped before crashing onto Rishi".
