Nolan Grant, the boy i've been in love with ever since the day I met him ever since freshman year in high school he's a sweet heart always has been, 8 years later and we're still friends.

even if we did have different friend groups we still hung out occasionally and even if we were friends I was always envious of him and his parents relationship, my parents were never here for me they constantly fight they have been for the past 3 years. That had a big impact on me as much as I wanted it to stop I couldn't do it I tried many times for them to stop fighting but I never worked.

"Ana!" my friend came running to me "Val!" that's Valencia Lovette my best friend her name meant strong and was she strong not just physically but mentally as well and she was gorgeous every man would be drooling over her "gosh Ana you walk so fast I cannot catch up some times" I chuckle "sorry, I thought you said you couldn't make it to art class today?"

"well I could never skip it! especially since your little boo thang is in that class" she nudged me slightly with her elbow "oh stop it me and him are just friends" she chuckled "just friends? Ana sweetie I see the way you look at him that look isn't 'just friends' look" my face got hot "I-I don't know what you're talking about" we get to our art class sitting down in our usual spots "you're blushing~" she teased me "Val stop I don't need to be like this before class" I say setting my things on the floor "your bae is here" I turn my head to her "he isn't my bae" she smirked "at least not yet" I chuckle playfully rolling my eyes

even if me and Nolan we friends and have known each other for years it still felt like i've just met him he comes over sitting next to me "Aneisha hi" he smiles his smiles melted my heart so much "Nolan hello" I smile back "how has your classes been treating you so far?" I say trying to keep my cool "great actually, how about you?" he always spoke so softly towards me like I was a child scared of him "good as well just a bit stressful" he nods and looks over at Val "who's that? I believe you haven't introduced me to her yet?" I look at Val and smile "this is Valencia I met her in my english class" Valencia smiles "it's nice to meet you Nolan i've heard..." I glare at her don't say a thing I mouth she clears her throat "it's nice to meet you" Nolan smiles "it's nice to meet you too Valencia"

"oh Val I can't make it tomorrow night" she frowns "why not it's going to be so boring without you" she groans swaying me side to side as she held my arm I chuckle "because I have family stuff" she stopped "family stuff? you never do though...what's really happening" she whispers to me "okay okay fine i'm baby sitting my baby cousin" her face immediately lights up "I love babies!" I chuckle "I know you do but i'm babysitting that night so I can't" she frowns again "fine...Nolan can you come?" he looks at her "hmm? come to what?" he stops paining and looks at us "im hosting a party" she smiles "probably not i'm gonna be stuck in the books" he smiles and goes back to painting "he's a bust" I chuckle "he's just not much of a party guy he's more of a home person" she sighs "I can tell"

the rest of the class we talked as we painted our murals of other people Val had to leave early so I had to finish the painting of her early "you're pretty good at this Nolan" he chuckles "thank you Aneisha, your painting of Valencia is amazing" I smile "thank you Nolan" "oh my god we should hang out again it's been a while since it's only been me and you" I smile "I would love to, when?" he smiled "whenever you aren't busy" he was always so sweet that's what I love about him

"next week?" he nods "sounds great!" I smile after class we walk to our houses together "wait wait stand there Nolan" I drag him to a flower garden sitting him down in the middle "what are you doing Aneisha?" he chuckles sitting down "taking pictures" I smile taking a step back taking out my camera snapping a couple pictures "okay all done" I smile "wanna see?"

he nods "of course I do" I sit down next to him showing the pictures that I took he was so close I could feel his breathing on my neck it sent shivers through my body "wow Aneisha sometimes I forget how good you are at taking photos" I smile "thanks Nolo" he chuckles "Nolo? you haven't called me that in years" I chuckle "yeah I guess it just feels right" I shrug "well I like it" he smiles oh my fucking god his gummy smile my knees went weak even if I was sitting down thank god I was sitting down because I would've fell "so what you'll be calling me Tesoro again?" I say jokingly "maybe I will Tesoro I look at him "w-wait you actually..." he chuckles "do you like being called Tesoro?" my face got hot thank god it was cold or he would've seen how red my face was "i-um yeah" I smile I stood up brushing off my clothes "Tesoro I have a question" I smile "yeah?" we continue walking "so how is it at home? the last time we talked your parents weren't really in good shape" I sigh "they are getting there I mean fights are here and there but it isn't much difference" I shrug "you doing okay?" I look at him and smile "i'm doing fine"

she wasn't okay I knew my Tesoro wasn't okay i've known her for years and ever since junior year of high school she's been a broken wreck i've been there for her through everything but her lying to me about how she feels hurts me deep inside i've always loved her I always will in any universe we will always find each other "Tesoro" when I said that she looked at me and smiled "hmm?" her smile the one that melted me from the inside out, the one that was so bright and beautiful I could melt like how the sun melts ice cream

"you know you can call me anytime whenever you need it right" her arms slightly swing "of course I know you've been telling me that ever since sophomore year of high school" I take her hand squeezing it slightly but not too hard "because I mean it, I really do mean it Tesoro you mean a lot to me" she smiles "and I will Nolo I promise" I smile being with her just makes me smile so much she's always such a ball of sunshine I just want to protect her through everything she's my world, my love, my one and only love she doesn't know it yet but one day we will be together and she'll see it all

"i'll see you tomorrow?" I smile as we were only a couple blocks away from her house we never totally stop at her front door her parents are really something else so we'd always stop at the 5th tree from her house whenever we walked together to and from school
"see you tomorrow Nolan" she waves and smiles I hope one day i'll be able to wake up to her sleeping right next to me I can only imagine her sweet sleepy morning smile it made me all warm on the inside I turned and walked to my house which was only a couple blocks down god I love her so much I would die if she wasn't in my life I actually wouldn't know what I would've done if I didn't meet her in high school.

I couldn't sleep,  every night I think about her, her sweet scent she'd always smell like cookies or pastries god I fucking love her I need her I live for her I look beside me "oh tesoro I wish you were here" I whisper to myself I miss her so fucking much I actually might die I usually would fall asleep at this time but for some reason I couldn't something felt off and wrong like Aneisha wasn't safe or something I know I sound crazy probably because I am crazy at least about her. I didn't want to barge into her personal life but I basically knew everything about her, my gut was telling me that something really is wrong I didn't want to go to her house and be like oh hi i'm Nolan Aneisha's boy best friend no what kind of idiot does that I rub my forehead "gosh Aneisha please be okay" thats when my phone rang, it was 3 in the morning, who could possibly be calling me now?
