Chapter 7 - Impulsive Excessive Disorders

3rd Person POV

= 6 Months Ago = 

After the renewal of Iris and Barry's vows, the group is sitting in the living room late at night. Mack looks around at her family, everyone is smiling and happy 

"You know, even though future-you told us about your vow renewals, like a million times, I still got pretty weepy." Bart admits

"Me too." Nora says. "I mean, the love in this room when you two kissed..."

"We have such an amazing future ahead of us." Iris says 

"Yeah, if we didn't change it." Bart says 

"I checked with Gideon. No changes to the timeline. Everything's fine." Barry says

"Well, on that note, we should be getting back to 2049 sooner or later." Nora says and the group stands up to hug each other goodbye  

"Keep the future safe. You're both gonna make great heroes." Barry tells Nora and Bart   

"I already am." Nora says 

"I'm gonna make you proud, Dad." Bart says  

"I know." Barry says. "Love you both." He says and the two speed out and back to 2049

= 2049 = 

Nora and Bart speed to a stop in the living room of the loft. Ronnie (Mack's child in the future), puts down his book and stands from the couch 

"Well, it's about time." Ronnie says. "Is everything still the same?" 

"Everything seems the same." Nora says, glancing around

"Good." Ronnie says with a sigh of relief. "At least we know you didn't mess up this time." He says before walking over and hugging Nora and Bart

As Ronnie hugs the two speedsters, a green vortex rips through the room. The three pull apart from their hug and look around, confused

"What was that?" Bart asks 

"I-I have no idea." Nora says  

"Okay, kids. I come bearing cheeseburgers." Jay Garrick says, walking into the room with Big Belly Burger

"Shit, I guess you did mess something up." Ronnie mutters as Bart rushes to hug Jay  

"Are you okay, son?" Jay asks Bart

"We just... we just missed you so much!" Nora exclaims, hugging Jay as well

"Uncle Jay's alive." Bart says happily. "Our Uncle Jay is really...Did we do this? Yeah, we did, didn't we? Oh, this is so crash." He laughs 

"Crash? No. No, not crash..." Nora says 

"The opposite of crash." Ronnie adds 

"That was a temporal wave that washed over us, okay?" Nora says. "That means that when we went back to help Mom and Dad stop the Godspeed war, we changed the future!"

"Yeah, but in a good way." Bart says 

"Well, yeah, totally. But we have to figure out why the changes happened." Nora says. Nora, Ronnie, and Bart walk over to Jay, pretending that everything is fine  

"So are, um, Mom and Pops gonna be swingin' by anytime soon?" Bart asks 

"Aren't they in Milan for their anniversary at La Verità Rustica?" Jay says   

"Right." Nora says. "Yeah. Yes, the anniversary of their wedding vow renewal. Um, but the rest of Team Flash can pop by right? What about MacKenzie?"

"Well, they're all kind of busy, which you already know." Jay says. "Now, why the third degree?"

"Oh, nothing." Nora stammers. "We're fine. Bart's fine. I'm fine. Fine, fine, fine."
