"So you're the famous, Zhanghao." Matthew grinned, his tone playful as he said Zhanghao's name. Hanbin had gone to fetch some water and medication, believing the magic might not be enough.
Zhanghao smiled, still unsure where this was going, "What does that mean?"
Matthew laughed, "I feel like I'm practically close friends with you, the way Hanbin's talked so much about you."
Zhanghao blushed slightly as he laughed. Just then, Hanbin walked in, holding a medicine bottle in one hand and a glass of water in the other. Keeping on the glass, he held it steady, making sure the water didn't spill out of it. Once he was near enough to the bed, he smiled up at Zhanghao before sitting down on the edge of the bed.
"Here." He said, giving the glass to Zhanghao. Unscrewing the medicine bottle he took a pill out, holding it out in his to Zhanghao.
To his surprise, Zhanghao made a face, "I hate swallowing pills."
Hanbin rolled his eyes, "Of course you do." Shoving the pill closer to him Hanbin said, "Here—eat it, it'll make you feel better."
Zhanghao crossed his arms, "I think the magic's worked just fine, thanks."
"Don't force him, Hanbin hyung." Matthew said.
Hanbin ignored Matthew, raising an eyebrow at Zhanghao.
Sighing, Zhanghao took the pill from him, "Fine. But only because you're the one asking." Chucking the pill in his mouth, he took a sip from the glass before gulping it down, and it was gone.
After seeing Zhanghao eat the medicine, Hanbin's face turned into a smile again as Matthew shook his head in dumbfoundedness. "What kind of drama is this....?" He sighed under his breath with a grin.
Hanbin and Zhanghao just shrugged at each other in response.
"Whatever, it's late so I'm going to go to sleep now." Matthew sighed.
Hanbin waved as his friend got up moved to leave the room, "Okay, thanks Matthew. You helped a lot you know." He smiled.
Matthew smiled back before leaving the room, "I know."
Once the two were left in room together Hanbin started to speak again, "By the way.." He looked to Zhanghao, "How did you know that—that was going to happen? The assassin, I mean."
Zhanghao took in a deep breath, "I guess sharing secrets is our new thing, is it?" He said, which Hanbin laughed to in reply. "Well, I only realized this recently but," Zhanghao paused, unsure if he should continue, "Lately, it's almost been as if my dreams are predicting the future. Because I've been having all these dreams only for them to pop up in my real life."
Hanbin's eyes widened in amazement, "Wow—wait, that's kind of cool." He said, "So you were dreaming and you saw what was about to happen so you came here?" He asked.
Zhanghao nodded, "Mhm."
Hanbin just stared at him some more, before getting up to check the clock which sat on his desk. "It's late, so we should probably go back to sleep now." He told Zhanghao.
"Oh- okay, I'll get out of your bed now." Zhanghao stammered, pulling the blanket covers off his legs.
"No, no!" Hanbin said, jumping back onto the bed. "You shouldn't move to much." He said as he smiled. Moving next to Zhanghao, Hanbin slipped under the sheets, grabbing Zhanghao by the waist as he pulled him to lie back down.
"Ow, that's where my cut is, Hanbin." Zhanghao yelped.
"Oops, sorry." Hanbin apologised, "Don't worry, I'll draw another spell on it." He said, tracing over Zhanghao's wound with his finger. Zhanghao felt a chill go through his body as Hanbin moved closer and he could practically feel his breath on his neck. However, the chill was soon replaced with warmth as Hanbin's body heat radiated to combine with Zhanghao's.
"Hanbin?" Zhanghao mumbled.
"Hm?" Hanbin sounded in reply.
"Just checking if you were still awake." Zhanghao said, before closing his eyes and shuffling a little to get into a comfortable position.
"Go to sleep, Zhanghao." Hanbin murmured, eyes already closed before he planted a small peck on Zhanghao's neck. "I'll see you in your dreams."
A smile crept onto Zhanghao's face as his eyes remained closed, and he felt his mind falling away, until he was asleep.
—
When Zhanghao awoke the next morning, he was surprised that they had managed to keep the same position the whole night, Hanbin's arm still wrapped around Zhanghao's waist as he slept. Slowly, he picked up Hanbin's hand, moving it off his waist while trying not to wake up him up in the process. But that didn't work as Hanbin groaned, eyes squinting in wake.
Warpping his arm back around Zhanghao's waist, Hanbin pulled him hard towards himself as Zhanghao laughed. Hanbin nuzzled his face into Zhanghao's neck before mumbling, "Stay. Just a bit longer."
Zhanghao rolled his eyes, "Okay." He let his body relax under Hanbin's hold, closing his eyes again before he fell asleep once more.
When the two finally woke up again, the sun was far too high in the sky. Jumping out of the bed, Zhanghao's face was hit with realization. "I forgot—I have training today." Zhanghao turned to a half-asleep Hanbin who had only just sat up, rubbing his eyes.
"What?" Hanbin said, groggily. "I didn't catch it the first time."
Zhanghao ignored him before going into the bathroom. Looking into the mirror, his wound appeared to be somewhat bloody still, and his clothes torn. Walking back out, Hanbin was out of the bed now, standing as he yawned, ruffling his hair.
"Can I borrow some training gear?" Zhanghao asked him.
"Sure." Hanbin replied, walking into his closet before coming out with a fresh set of training uniform.
"Thanks." Zhanghao said as he took the clothes from him, making his way back into the bathroom. Cleaning the dried blood off the wound, Zhanghao realized that it didn't hurt at all anymore and it had almost healed up fully now, minus the scar it would leave. Magic really was real, he thought, frowning to himself.
Changing into Hanbin's training gear, Zhanghao left the bathroom to see Hanbin who had somehow managed to get dressed and now looked much more awake compared to a few minutes ago.
"Let's go, I'll walk you there." Hanbin told him.
Leaving the room, Zhanghao and Hanbin walked to the training room, Zhanghao anticipating a somewhat angry Gunwook. However, as they entered the room, it wasn't Gunwook that Zhanghao noticed first—
It was Taerae.
