The food was good but I wish I could say it wasn't a bit awkward. Nick tried to make it better but I could tell Brock was deep in thought from this whole experience.

So what do you think of my cooking? Asked Nick.

Hmm..solid 7/10. I replied, smiling.

Yeah, I agree. Replied Brock

Wow guys really nice of you. Nick joked.

Anyways, so Y/n what do you think of our home? Asked Nick.

Well, it's very nice and clean. I smiled.

Yeah we get that a lot but it's mostly thanks to Brock, if it weren't for him this home would be a lot messier. He replied.

Brock smirked and slightly laughed.

I giggled at his cute reaction.

Anyways I think I should probably be leaving.. I said as I felt I had overdone my stay.

Brock looked down at the table.

Do you need a ride? I can give you one. He offered.

It's okay I can just get an Uber. I said back.

No I really don't mind, besides I feel responsible for this whole situation.

You don't have to I really don't mind.

He looked back at me with a look I could read. It was sort of a 'are you sure?' Kind of glance.

...but I don't want to refuse a free ride. I said, a smile tugged at the corners of my lips.

Alright whenever you want we can go. Brock agreed.

I nodded and checked my phone. 10 missed calls from Avi.

I held my hand to my mouth from guilt.

Shit I might need you to give me a ride now actually..

.

She won't reply. I bit my nail. I sat next to Brock as he drove me to her apartment.

Are you sure she's not sleeping? She could've gotten a ride from a friend or an Uber or something. He assured me.

I don't know Brock but I'm worried..

Where do I go from here?

Oh take a left and then at the next light take a right.

He nodded.

When we were at her house I got her backup key from under her rug and went inside, Brock waited in his car.

Heyy?? Avi!!

I heard a groan. I then walked to her room where it was the source of the noise.

I opened the door and found her sleeping.

Goo awayyy Y/n I'm sleeping!

I was able to breath a sigh of relief.

I then exited her apartment satisfied knowing she was alright.

.

Hey. I said as I opened his car door and entered.

So was she there?

Yeah and you were right she was just sleeping.

He smiled, glad his idea had been proven correct.

So to your home now? He asked.

Actually..I don't want to take up too much of your time but I was wondering if we could go to Walmart, I wanted to get a plan B pill just to be safe.

That's smart, I really don't mind.

Alright. I smiled at him.

The rest of the ride was fun as we talked the whole drive.

I didn't want to go back home. I liked being around him.

So are you excited for the superbowl next week?

Oh for sure..but I'm also terrified for it.

Yeah I understand that.

It's just, having a whole country be ready to criticize everything you do is really nerve-wrecking..

If it helps you feel any better, remember majority of the country is rooting for you, people don't seem to like Taylor Swift being involved in the NFL.

Good point.

Also I've seen you play, you have a lot of skill and I genuinely think you can win.

Thank you. Brock shyly thanked me.

You really don't have to thank me, you're the one who is an amazing quarterback.

He softly grinned. Blushing.

.

You're okay with me coming with you right? I have to get a few stuff too. He asked.

Of course. If anything it'll make me more comfortable going with someone else. I replied, muttering that last part.

As we walked into the building I came up with a fun game we could play.

How about we predict how long it will take for someone to recognize you and ask for a picture.

Oh I'm so good at that

Okay what's your prediction Mr 'I'm so good at that'.

Hmm..6 minutes? Around that? He smugly spoke.

Alright. I think it'll take 10 minutes.

Ok, we will see who's right. I then checked my phone for the time to start the game.
