A/n: Well, this is different. Instead of another cartoon book, I'm doing an anime-based one. Based on one of the most popular animes ever. One infamous for being... Well, super long. And, in case any of you are worried, don't worry, I'm still focusing on the Teen Titans book until I complete writing the season 1 finale

Name: Y/n MertensAge: 19 (Pre-timeskip), 21 (Post-timeskip)
Epithet(s): The Grass Demon, The Green Knight
Appearance:
"I'm a plant. And my weakness is water. Funny, right?"
Known affiliations: Straw Hat Pirates, Heart Pirates (formerly), Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai alliance (formerly)
Devil Fruit: Kusa-Kusa No Mi
Appearance:
Type: Logia
Description: Whoever eats this fruit is granted the ability to create, control, and become grass at will. The eater becomes a "Grass Human". The user of the fruit no longer requires food, instead being able to survive on sunlight through photosynthesis.
Abilities:
- Minor shapeshifting
- Grass Weapon creation
- Elemental intangibility
- Accelerated bodily regenerationTechniques:
Kusa-Kusa Blade - Y/n forms a sword out of grass that grows from his palm. He is able to perform precise slices and make the blade of the sword spin around to be used like a buzzsaw. This is his signature weapon, to the point where it will form on it's own out of instinct. The blade is surprisingly durable, capable of slicing through most materials, including other weapons while still having the flexibility of a blade of grass
Kusa-Kusa Blade: Dual Wielding - Y/n creates two grass swords, one in each hand, and dual wields. Pretty simple
Kusa-Kusa Bamboo Shoot - A technique inspired by Luffy's Gum Gum Pistol, Y/n stretches his arm then throws a devastating punch, allowing him to punch others at a range
Kusa-Kusa Uproot - Y/n punches into the ground with one or both of his hands. His arms burrow through the ground before sprouting out of the ground, either grabbing or punching an opponent
Kusa-Kusa Slingshot - A technique inspired by Usopp, Y/n grows a blade of grass between the tips of his index and middle finger, pulls it back (usually while holding a seed), and then releases, firing the ammo at his target
Kusa-Kusa Flytrap - Y/n enlarges both of his arms and slams them into eachother, sandwiching his opponent between the giant hands
Kusa-Kusa Axe - A technique similar to Kusa-Kusa Blade, but instead of a sword, Y/n creates an axe. While not having the same flexibility as the Kusa-Kusa Blade, it can deliver more powerful blows that can tear through armour, hook other people's weapons or opponents limbs. Additionally, the Kusa-Kusa Axe can be thrown to much greater effect than the Kusa-Kusa Blade.
Kusa-Kusa Spiral Grain - A technique inspired by Luffy's Gum Gum Rifle, and thus, similar to Kusa-Kusa Bamboo Shoot. Y/n twists his arm around as he extends it behind him and hits the opponent at close range, massively increasing the velocity of the punch
Kusa-Kusa Saguaro Fist - A technique inspired by Luffy's Gum Gum Gigant Pistol, Y/n enlarges his fist, which gains spines, before throwing a collosal punch. Unlike Luffy, Y/n doesn't need to blow air into his body
Kusa-Kusa Black Bark Bamboo Shoot - An improved version of Kusa-Kusa Bamboo Shoot, utilising Armament Haki to harden Y/n's fist and increase the strength of the punch
Kusa-Kusa Giant Sequoia Fist - A technique inspired by Luffy's Gum Gum Elephant Gun, it's essentially an improved version of Kusa-Kusa Saguaro Fist. Y/n enlarges his fist, starting at the end of his wrist, then throws a punch at his opponent.
Non-combat uses:
- Due to lacking organs or a digestive system, Y/n cannot eat, nor does he need to. Instead, he can sustain himself on sunlight through photosynthesis
- Y/n can choose to take the form of anyone or appear more human by growing colored flower petals over his body to mimic clothes, hair or skin. Additionally, by using Armament Haki, he can mimic metallic materials
- With enough time and sunlight, Y/n can create any kind grow-able plant on his body, from mint to poisonous mushrooms, vegetables and even actual weed
Weaknesses:
- Like all Devil Fruit eaters, Y/n has a weakness to seawater. However, just being wet is not enough to induce weakness and nullify Y/n's powers; the same is true for water inside any Devil Fruit user's body, such as water that they drink. "Moving" water, like rain or waves, does not weaken Devil Fruit users, while standing water, like lakes or rivers, does
- Coming into contact with Seastone has the same effect on Devil Fruit users as falling into the water, preventing the Devil Fruit user from using their powers and weakening the Devil Fruit user to the point where they cannot move
- Due to consuming the Kusa-Kusa fruit, Y/n's body is comprised of grass. This means that he is far more susceptible to fire, ice and poison attacks than a regular person. This is because extreme temperatures can kill most plants, as can certain poisons

_________________________________________A/n: Gonna be honest, I haven't been sure about this for a while. I mean, I only recently got into One Piece. Plus, I still have no idea what arc I should start from for this book. So far, it's just vague ideas. Like, having young Y/n hang out with Sabo, Luffy and Ace. All I know is that I want it to start at some point before the timeskip
So, I'd appreciate if you guys left ideas and stuff, it'd be a big help and really cool. Anyway, Doppio out!
