Chapter 3

—Start of Chapter—

You all finally make it to the railway platform after fighting off several Legion members. "Aww yeah, it's the platform!"

"... The Express isn't here," Dan Heng realizes as he looks around.

"It has to be nearby! Let me go take a peek with my sharp eyes."

March runs ahead first as the rest of you all widen your eyes.

"Wait, March!" Dan Heng calls out to March as he reaches a hand out for her.

March turns around, oblivious to the Doomsday Beast right behind her.

Only after the Doomsday Beast flew past her, creating a strong gust of wind, did she realize what was going on.

"The Doomsday Beast. It's really here," Himeko says as she takes a quick glance at Stelle.

March stands in front of Stelle with her bow and arrow ready. "Hey! Get down here!"

The Beast flies around and starts closing the distance quickly. "Careful everyone."

It lets out a loud roar, creating so much wind that you need to cover your eyes, trying not to get blown away.

You all try to fight off the beast but are quickly exhausted.

The Doomsday Beast leans back as it prepares to shoot a laser beam out of its mouth.

It aims at March, who was kneeling on the ground, tired from fighting.

"March!"

Before you can react, Stelle uses her body to block the attack.

"Stelle!" You shout her name, worried she'll get severely injured.

Contrary to what you expected, Stelle seemed alright, but you notice a bright yellow light emitting from her chest.

The yellow light creates an explosion, finishing off the Doomsday Beast.

However, she starts losing control over her body as she slowly lifts off the ground, groaning in pain.

Luckily, Welt was able to knock her out by hitting her in the head with his cane before anything got too serious.

March catches Stelle as she falls to the ground.

"Mr. Yang! Is she..."

"They're okay now. Let's talk somewhere else," Welt says, turning around.

"Asta, Arlan, I'm here," you say as you wave to them with a smile.

The two were sitting by a small round table, waiting for you after reading your text. You sit between the two as Arlan pours you a cup of tea.

"[Name], how have you been recently?" Asta asks as you take a sip.

"Thanks, Arlan. The last planet we visited was so much fun. I met quite a lot of funny people."

Arlan pushes the plate of treats towards you as you smile at him.

"Oh? Funny people?" Asta asks.

"Haha, yeah. There was a cute kid who confessed to me. He begged me not to leave and promised to join the Express when he gets older. Before I left, he even got onto one knee and proposed to me with a flower ring," you say as you laugh.

"Really? Do you have a picture?" "Yeah, right here!"

You pull out a picture of a cute kid with blue hair and sky-blue eyes.
