The Change

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

slowly opening my eyes, full of crust and hardly even able to pull myself up, i quickly sit up pushing my cold sheets off my body, running my fingers through my hair as the morning sun shines brightly through the window.  I look across the room, tons of bags piled up in the corner full of all my clothes and belongings from my now empty room. i look at the small clock beside my bed.

"6:45"

i think to myself, i got enough time and not to worry.

I take a deep breath in and smile to myself softly

"Todays the day" i say softly to myself standing up on my little feet walking toward the shower, smiling with joy yet a chest full of anixety.

Turning the hot water on, letting it run down my smooth white skin enjoying the last shower im gonna have at home for a long long time. I stand there in my own daze. not focusing on anything but the warm water quickly running down my body...suddenly my mother snaps me out of my daze.

"Victoria lets go! move it!"

i grunt slightly and turn the water off, wrapping my hair in the small white towel, grabbing the larger one, i start quickly drying myself off. In a rush, i  hurry out of the bathroom grabbing a pair of white boody shorts and a thin black top, reading "Perfectly Imperfect" on the front.

Shaking my hair off, brushing it quickly and pulling my now damp hair into a pony tail. I stare into the mirror taking a long good look at myself. Then again to the clock.

"7:20"

damn how long was i in the shower for?

"VICTORIA JOHN IS HERE COMMON"

Yet again i grunt, taking one last look and turning toward the door

"John come up here please i need help with my bags!"

I shout from upstairs and soon hear footsteps running up behind me. I bend over trying to gather as much as i can. Suddenly i feel two large hands grasp my waist pulling me up from my bent over positon. Cant help but only smile i turn around to see my boyfriend of 2 years,John. we lock eyes and he leans in for a quick kiss.

"i wish you can come with me baby" i sigh and hug him tightly not wanting to let go

"i know...dont worry everything is gonna work out just fine"

he quickly replies pulling my hair back slightly making me look up from his chest.

"I love you okay?"

i nod yes softly kissing him softly. i pull out of his grasp and grab all the bags i can,carrying them outside to my moms car. Following behind me John carries whatever we can and we both drop them in the trunk.

"Jesus Victoria you take too long to get ready in the morning, now lets go or your gonna be late for your flight."

i nod softly and John grabs me from behind kissing my neck softly

"ill leave you too to say your goodbyes"  my mom laughs to herself getting in the drivers side of the car leaving us alone for only a few moments.

i turn around holding him in my arms tightly

"Please come and visit John.."

i try holding back the tears trying to be strong enough to atleast say goodbye

He laughs softly and nods smiling. Pulling me off him by my shoulders, i stare into his eyes yet again.  i reach up grabbing his cheek pulling him down, kissing him deeply full of love and compassion.For what seems like forever.

*BEEP BEEP*

i pull away biting my lip softly, and hugging him one last time before he walks me to the car. opening the door for me, helping me in and slamming it gently shut my eyes quickly start to fill with water as he smiles at him and turns his back to me. Walking toward his small blue car.

my  mom taking my hand into hers squeezing slightly as we start driving off to the airport. My ticket tightly clutched in my hand looking straight ahead. smiling with joy about to embark on an amazing new step in my life and a great new time to make adjustments. Collage here i come.
