Time runs out

*We join Kevin and Tay on the way to the hospital*

"Kevy?" Tay asks with genuine concern in her voice "você está bem" (are you okay?")

"Sim..." *He sighs* "I knew this  day would come but I didn't want to face it." *Tay looks at Kev and leans over and hugs him tightly with a small coo*

*Kev smiles*"Thanks Tay."

*They head to the front desk* "Wilkes?"

"Ah Mr Wilkes. Room 205."

"Thank you." *Kev and Tay head to the room and knock on the door*

'Come in."

*Kev pushes the door open* "Hey Dad. You doing okay?"

*Del smiles* "Wish I could say I was son. This old heart ain't working like it used to."

*Kevin frowns as Tay hugs him* "I see you've brought a friend Kevin."

"I have! Dad this is Taynara, Tay, this is my dad, Del Wilkes."

"Nice to meet you." Del says as he and Tay shake hands

"So you've decided to follow in your dad's footsteps Huh Kev?" Del says with a laugh

"I have! Carrying on the Wilkes Legacy!"

*Del laughs* "Son you are already carrying on my legacy in so many ways. You're already making me and your mom proud of you. Keep it up son."

*Kev smiles as a nurse comes in to check on his dad and Tay gives him another hug*

"Well...I guess we should get going. Nice to see you again Dad!"

"Nice to see you too Son! Tay nice meeting you as well!" *She nods* 

"Oh and Kevin?" Del calls his son back as Tay leaves to wait outside the room

"Yes Dad?"

"Take good care of her." 

"Tay? Dad you know I will. You raised me right."

*Time skip*

As Tay and Kev have arrived back into their hotel room and plunk on the bed*

"What a day huh?" Kev says as he goes to brush his teeth

"Yeah!" Tay says as she flops on the bed facefirst. She thinks about how the day went for the two of them and-*Kev's phone rings*

*Tay can tell Kev is still brushing so she answers it*

"Is this Kevin Wilkes?"

"He's occupied at the moment but I can relay the information to him."

"Well...just wanted to let you know that a few hours after you two left the hospital, Del Wilkes sadly passed away."

*Tay doesn't know how to respond to this therefore her silence for a few seconds*

"I-I'll let him know..."

"Thank you and have a good night."

*Tay throws Kev's phone onto the bed as Kev comes out*"Who was that?"

"Have a seat Kev."

*He plunks next to Tay* 

"What was that about?"

*Tay sighs* "So...the hospital just called...and said about a few hours after we left..."

*Kev's face slowly begins to take on a 'please god no...' expression*

"They said your dad passed."

*Kev looks absolutely HEARTBROKEN at this news as Tay wraps him up in a tight hug*

"I'm so so sorry Kevin..."

*Kev can only rub her back as he tries to process this*

"Do you want me to let TK know or..."

"I'll do it later..." *Tay nods as she plants a small kiss on Kev's head*

"Things are going to be okay Kevin...trust me."
