"We're back losers" was the first thing Lyric said once they'd passed Thalia's tree, immediately Lyric's siblings, Isabel swarmed her.

"Thank the gods we thought you'd died!" Isabel exclaimed hugging her, Lyric sometimes envied how she radiated peace since she was a child of Harmonia though it didn't stop her from kicking Gabriel's butt every time they trained.

"Good to know you have oh so little faith in me bells" Lyric rolled her eyes albeit grinning. "Who can blame her" Gabriel muttered, causing Lyric to smack his head. "You know what I'm starting to regret missing you"

Isabel and Lyric laughed, dragging him along. They were the first heroes to return alive to Half-Blood Hill since Luke and Lyric, so of course everybody treated them as if they'd won some reality-TV contest (which Lyric enjoyed far too much)  According to camp tradition, they wore laurel wreaths to a big feast prepared in their honor, then led a procession down to the bonfire, where they got to burn the burial shrouds their cabins had made for us in our absence.

Annabeth's shroud was so beautiful—gray silk with embroidered owls Percy told her it seemed a shame not to bury her in it. Lyric's shroud was more stunning though, it was pure white with small doves holding an olive branch in their beaks and if you lean in you could see small skulls printed in between each dove as they burned it, a strawberry scent filled the air

The Ares cabin had volunteered to make Percy's shroud giving he had no cabin mates as he was a son of Poseidon. They'd taken an old bedsheet and painted smiley faces with X'ed-out eyes around the border, and the word LOSER painted really big in the middle.

It was pretty fun to burn.

The only ones not in a party mood were Clarisse and her cabinmates. Lyric whispered into his ear. "Why do we hate her?"

"Ares"

"Oh"

"Yeah, lets back away"

Percy had told her what Ares had done and unfortunately Gabriel and Isabel had heard, for a child of Harmonia she had a lot of colorful speech to say:

"¿Como se atreve? Será mejor que espere que él y yo no crucemos pasos o lo abofetearé en una de sus estúpidas estatuas."

(Translation: How dare he? He better hope he and I don't cross paths or I'll smash the bitch into one of his stupid statues.)

"Calm down little one" Gabriel laughed patting her head which he could do since he was taller than her, she glared at him and faced Lyric. "Can I kill him please?"

"No"

"Just a little, I swear he wont feel a thing"

Gabriel nervously grinned, "well I best be off before someone gets her hand on a sword-too late" Isabel whipped out her twin daggers and chased the boy who yelped and ran faster.

"That's the fastest I've seen him run" Percy whispered to Lyric who nodded. "I know right?"

Even Dionysus's welcome-home speech wasn't enough to dampen their spirits. "Yes, yes, so the little brat didn't get himself killed and now he'll have an even bigger head. Well, huzzah for that. In other announcements, there will be no canoe races this Saturday. . . ."
