Dardans been gone for weeks, hell, months even. We were all safe now, at least that's what you thought. You weren't worrried anymore when Heli wasn't on time for things, there was no threat to him. The two of you could mindlessly go on late night dates without a care in the world. He let you change your courses to night classes to be with him without him worrying about every little thing.
It was just perfect.
That was until one night.
You tiredly glanced at your clock, Heli's over an hour late now. You already texted Solon where he could be, yet no reply. Even though it was safe, you felt worry bubbling up inside of you. Where could he be?
A sudden weak tap at your window pulled you out of your trance.
Your heart sank when you looked over. You were relieved to see it was your boyfriend, but his once white shirt was now stained blood red right above his right hip.
You wasted no time in opening your window, letting Heli fall into your arms. "Heli?" you practically screamed "what happened?" he let out a bloody cough "... low grade vamps.. they're back.." this wasn't a good sign. If there were low grade vampires, someone had to put them into life. And it had to be another higher level vampire.
You laid him down on your floor, not being strong enough to lift him onto your bed. You grabbed a pillow, placing it beneath his head.
"Love I know you're tired, but please don't close your eyes. It worries me." you softly spoke. He nodded, keeping his tired eyes open despite being heavily exhausted. You ran your hand over his face, keeping the hair away from his forehead.
"Can I take a look at the wound?" you asked, already trailing your hands down to unbutton his shirt. You smiled as he coaxed out a weak 'yes' before quickly undoing the buttons.
The wound didnt look all too bad, it just wasn't healing at a fast enough pace.
You shot up, grabbing a rag from your bathroom rack before wetting it with cold water. You returned to Helis side, gently cleaning the wound. "Hels, do you think I can disinfect the wound?" he seemed to think a little "if it will help the healing process, please do.." his voice seemed less weak now, only a tiny bit though.
You tossed the now blood soaked rag into your shower, wanting to clean it later, maybe even toss it away.
You rummaged through your med box next to your desk, finding some disinfectant spray and some tissues.
You kneeled back down, grabbing Heli's hand with one of your hands while the other sprayed the wound. Heli immediately let out a hiss at the feeling of the liquid against his open gash. Once the area was wet enough, you grabbed the tissues, drying it again.
If anything helped Heli wake up, it was this.
"Its not enough! this is taking too long!" you whined, grabbing his arm. Heli raised his hand, reaching into your hair. He grabbed a fistfull before pulling your face down towards his. "I know of one more thing.." he lowly whispered into your ear.
You felt the redness creeping onto your cheeks, giving a slow nod in reply. "Let me drink some of your blood.." you could basically hear the smile in his voice.
You pulled back, taking your t-shirt off. You didn't mind that if left you in only your bra. It was easier neck access for Heli this way.
You inched your neck closer to his mouth, grabbing onto his shoulder to prace for the paining impact. Heli placed a soothing hand on your cheek, growing his fangs. He softly kissed the area a couple of times before sinking the canines into your soft skin. You let out a low hiss at the stinging sensation. If Heli wasn't injured like this, he would never even allow himself to hurt you like this.
You opened your previously clenched eyes, glancing at the wound that was starting to heal at a rapid pace now. "H-Heli.. it's healed.!" you weakly let out, but his fangs didn't detach themselves from your neck now. You were starting to panic. You clenched your hand into a fist, roughly punching his leg, earnign a whine out of him. "ow!" he growled "Sorry. You refused to let go." you used your hand to soothingly rub the area on your neck.
"Now put those away and cover this up!" you huffed, pointing at his fangs. "Right away, ma'am." he gave you a toothy grin as his fangs slowly sunk back into a more plausiable length.
Heli began helping you with the mess you made trying to help him. He took his shirt off, hanging it over your desk chair while you just put yours back on. As for the bloody rag, Heli was so grossed out by it that you both decided it'd be best to just toss it out for the garbage men to take care of.
Exhausted from battle and cleaning up, Heli sat down on your bed while you shut the lights off. He kicked his shoes to the farthest corner of the room, watching your every step. You stood between his legs, running your fingers through his hair. "You wanted help covering that up, right?" he traced a finger over the obvious bite mark on your neck.
"Yeah, everyone would be confused if I left it there." You shrugged. He smiled briefly, hastily pulling you into his lap "Let me help then." He hot breath fanned against your neck, his lips kissing the area softly before he began harshly sucking on the area, leaving a deep red hickey. However, it did the job covering the bite mark, turning it into something far more socially acceptable, or 'normal' for highschoolers.
He looked proud at his work, giggling like a little girl.
"All right, thank you sir Heli. Off to bed?" you shook your head, crawling off of his lap to lay down, cuddling yourself into your cozy sheets. He happily nodded, wanting nothing more but to sleep as he joined you.
He cuddled into your side, soaking in the calm before the storm.
