Notes: Yoongi gets into fights and Jimin takes care of him.

Kinda angsty yoonmin drabble.
I'm an awful writer and too lazy to proof read my work so sorry for any mistakes. The title is a song by a band called Have Mercy (I've attached the song so everyone listen to it because it's great).
I've described Yoongi as having orange hair because I loved his orange hair even though it's blonde now.
I hope anyone who reads this enjoys it :)

For the fourth time that week, Yoongi turned up at Jimin's house battered and bruised at 1am. Jimin yanked Yoongi into the kitchen – not bothering to be careful anymore. He pulled out the first aid kit from the cupboard, slammed it on the table and began to examine Yoongi's wounds. Again.

"You've got to stop doing this," Jimin sighed, ignoring Yoongi's hissing as he applied antiseptic cream to a cut near his eyebrow. Yoongi stared blankly at him, ignoring his comment.
"You're going to get yourself killed," Jimin continued. He would do whatever it took to get that in to his friend's head.

All Jimin wanted was for Yoongi to be safe, but that wasn't going to happen if he kept getting into fights and showing up at his house half dead in the middle of the night. Once Yoongi was cleaned up, the two boys sat quietly together, as there wasn't anything to say. Yoongi never wanted to talk about why he got into fights and Jimin was certain Yoongi wouldn't listen if he started talking about his day.

Yoongi wasn't a bad friend. He was actually a great listener. It was just that he had his own problems to worry about and Jimin didn't want to make him more anxious by talking about his feelings. He usually just kept his emotions to himself. It was better that way. After what seemed like years of silence, Yoongi spoke up, startling Jimin.

"Your hair's all messy," Yoongi commented, staring intently at Jimin.
"Normal people are usually asleep at 1am," Jimin replied, feeling mildly uncomfortable that Yoongi was looking at him. He could feel his cheeks becoming red but he wasn't quite sure why. Jimin cleared his throat and continued to not meet Yoongi's gaze.
"You should probably go home; get some sleep," Jimin suggested, quickly standing up and moving towards the front door. Yoongi followed reluctantly.
"I'll see you later then," Yoongi said, a hint of sadness in his voice. Jimin watched as his friend walked down the street and into the darkness of the night.

Yoongi didn't show up for school the next day and even though he knew he shouldn't be, Jimin was nervous. There had been plenty of days when Yoongi hadn't come to school and he'd always been fine. Nethertheless, Jimin called Yoongi at lunch questioning where he was. When there was no reply, he started to worry even more. Yoongi always picked up his phone no matter what. After calling him a few more times, Yoongi finally answered.

"What do you want Jimin?" Yoongi asked grumpily. His voice was deep and husky and Jimin felt his heart flutter a tiny bit. Even though Yoongi couldn't see him, Jimin felt embarrassed about how heated his cheeks felt.
"Jimin?" Yoongi called, after a period of silence.
"Oh, um, sorry," Jimin mumbled, feeling even more embarrassed. "I was just checking if you were okay."
"I was sleeping and if you don't mind I'd like to get back to it."
"You were sleeping?" Jimin said, annoyance radiating off him. "I was so worried about you and you were having a nap!"
"You don't need to worry about me, Jimin," Yoongi said bluntly.
"I'll talk to you tomorrow then," Jimin responded, hanging up before Yoongi got the chance to say goodbye.

He was irritated at himself about how worked up he'd gotten over Yoongi and he was irritated that Yoongi hadn't told him he was okay and he was irritated about his conflicted emotions. Jimin wished he was in bed sleeping like Yoongi. He half wished he was in bed sleeping with Yoongi.

Jimin immediately pushed the thought out of his head. Yoongi was his friend. His best friend. Nothing more. Yet Jimin couldn't help thinking about running to Yoongi's house and jumping into bed with him, cuddling the older boy. Jimin thought about running his fingers through Yoongi's fluorescent orange hair and holding his pale hands. The thoughts made him want to scream. Yoongi was his friend.

Now it was Yoongi's turn to be ignored. Jimin didn't answer any of Yoongi's calls or reply to any of his texts. He even made his mum say he'd gone out when Yoongi had shown up at his house. Jimin had taken drastic measures to avoid Yoongi at school as well. He wasn't meant to have thoughts like that about his friend. It would completely ruin their friendship – although Jimin had already done a pretty good job of that by ignoring Yoongi.

Jimin woke to the sound of a dull banging on his front door. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and dragged himself down the stairs. It was 2am. Jimin knew exactly who was at his door. The one person he didn't want to see. Despite that, he still answered the door and pulled Yoongi into his kitchen. The pair was silent and Jimin checked to see where Yoongi was hurt. He had a deep cut on his arm and his eye was already starting to bruise.

"You're going to need stitches," Jimin stated, shaking his head. Why was Yoongi so reckless?
"Can't you do it?" Yoongi whined. He never liked going to the hospital. He hated the stench of bleach and the plain white walls. Hospitals creeped him out.
"I'm scared I'll do it wrong," Jimin said, "It'll be best to just go to the hospital and get it done properly."
"Jimin," Yoongi began, lowering his voice.
"Hmm?"
"Why have you been ignoring me?"

Jimin refused to look Yoongi in the eyes. What was he meant to say? He couldn't tell Yoongi the truth. Being rejected was the worst feeling in the whole world (Jimin knew from experience). On the other hand, he didn't know how long he could go on lying and avoiding Yoongi. Either way, Jimin was convinced he'd lose his friend.

Yoongi scooted his chair closer to Jimin's, placed his hands on his face and forced Jimin to look him in the eyes.

"Why are you ignoring me?" Yoongi repeated. Jimin's heart was thumping and his breathing quickened. Yoongi was so close to him. His eyes kept flickering to Yoongi's lips and Jimin just wanted to slap himself.
"I just needed some time to myself," Jimin lied, his face becoming red. Jimin prayed silently that Yoongi had never noticed when he blushed, but he knew that couldn't be true. Jimin turned as red as a beetroot whenever Yoongi was around. It would be difficult not to notice.
"I know you're lying, Jimin."

Yoongi's hands were still cupping Jimin's face. In that moment, the only thing Jimin wanted was to tell Yoongi how he really felt but he'd never been that great at telling people his emotions. The next thing he knew, Yoongi had slammed his lips to his, nearly knocking all wind from his lungs.
Jimin hardly had a moment to react before Yoongi pressed his tongue to the seam of his lips. It was a very sloppy, very passionate kiss but Jimin couldn't care less.

His brain lit on fire and the warmth spread throughout his entire body. Yoongi had kissed him. Which meant he must have felt the same way. Jimin broke away, grinning like an idiot. He was scarlet and roasting hot and he just wanted to grab Yoongi and kiss him over and over again. Yoongi was also smiling slightly but there was a tiny scowl on his face. Jimin knew he was just embarrassed.

"Take me to the hospital, loser."
