It took me a few minutes to gulp down that decadent drink, it was sweet nectar from the Gods. Ironically it's name was Aphrodite's Ambrosia. 'No wonder', I realized, admiring the now empty glass, 'It's beautiful and addicting'
Without thinking, I smiled, maybe it was because the rum was now warming my blood and making my heart fuzz but whatever it was, it made me unconsciously smile. It didn't last long though because the minute I glanced up, my smile vanish instantly. How could I be so distracted?
Right in front of Mrs Ettie stood an energized practically bouncing girl with her phone out chirping questions non stop at Mrs Ettie who seemed highly amused, curious, I shifted and immediately recognized the toffee colored eyes slightly hidden by a plain baseball cap. I gritted my teeth and strode over, pushing past the others quietely rudely I admit but it didn't matter. That girl was back.
And I had to do my job.
