7. Seven Days

I'm sorry for the late update, I was struggling with this chapter so it took this long to update. But don't worry it's quite a long chapter, 4000+ words.
Now I'll stop with my rants.

Day 1

It was a nice sunny day, a boy was standing in front of a library cafe, not sure whether he should enter or not. After gathering a lot of courage he entered and was searching for someone. He got rooted in his place when his eyes fell on her, and a warm and sweet smile crept on his face.

Ruhan's pov:-

I just stood there staring at her, I felt so peaceful after seeing her fit and fine. She is so beautiful. Her dove-like eyes and her chubby cheeks, Oh God! What's wrong with me? Ruhan, focus, you are here to pursue her to give a try to work at our clinic, you can admire her every day if she agrees. I know I'm here to convince her to work with us but not because I sympathize with her, I know no one understands her and that's why she couldn't get any job and I just want to help her get along with people so she could let her talent out easily. I know it's going to be difficult but I'll get through it .... we'll get through it. I thought.

I rubbed my palms on my jeans, pulled my jacket and marched towards her. I settled myself on a seat which was exactly opposite to her.
"Hey" I said which came more like a whisper.

Hum it tashan mein dadi ko yeh bol ke aagaye ki sath din mein Zroya ji ko mana lenge par ab sawaal yeh hai ki unhe manage kaise? Bhagwan ji humari izzat bacha lena, bas Zroya ji maan jaaye. I thought.

"Hey, how you doin' lately Dr.Zroya?" I said and passed the warmest smile possible and she just ignored my presence royally.
"I was just passing by, really liked this place so visited and then I saw you, thought of meeting you," I said and again no response.
"Dr Zroya, I know that day things didn't work out but it's okay. If you are feeling embarrassed then you shouldn't feel like that because it's a part of you, no matter how much you try to hide it, it will someday or the other come out. I also have a vulnerable side of mine everyone has and we accept it. Even you should at least try to accept it. Love yourself Dr.Zroya." I said seriously and for a change, she was hearing me but didn't show it.
"Dr Mrunal wants to give you a chance, you can work with us for a month and if you prove your abilities then we can make a contract but you won't be paid for that month you will be paid only after making a contract. I know you won't say a word today so just letting you know that you have seven days to decide, considering today as the first." I continued further.
"If you consider joining us then you can even call me. This is my number." I said as I passed my visiting card to her.

I waited for a few minutes but there was no response in return so I decided to leave.
"Now, I shall take your leave. I'm getting late. Bye!" I said disheartened as I stood up from my seat.

Zroya lifted her head and shifted her gaze from her book to Ruhan and kept staring at his retreating figure with an expressionless face.

Day 2

Ruhan's pov:-

We reached the cafe at the same time. I lifted a random book and started following her. She kept her bag and her scarf on the chair near the window and went to grab a book. Taking it as an opportunity I went and kept her bag on the chair beside me and sat on her seat.
