"...ey.... Hey! (Y/n)! Wake up!" You had started to hear slightly muffled shouting as the first thing you awoke to the following morning.

Your (e/c) eyes Blinking open for a moment to try and get used to the sunlight coming in through the window. Everything seeming a little too bright now while your entire body ached. You made an attempt to recollect any memory of what happened before you had somehow fallen asleep. Yet everything after VDC had ended was a complete blur. What was going on?

"Hey, didn't you call us over? Don't sleep," Ace snapped his fingers in front of your face. Causing you to scrunch up your nose at him.

Deuce shook his head, his expression morphing into that of worry. "I didn't expect you to call us over at a time like this. What do you mean by Grim is gone?"

Your head pounded at the sound of their voices. Slowly starting to remember why your body ached so much, along with how Grim had acted last night. Why and how had you fallen asleep if the cat monster was missing?

"That's... That's right I was looking for Grim..." You mumbled more to yourself then to them. Finally getting up even as every little sensation made you tense.

The A-Deuce duo had then suddenly reared back at the sight of your injured hand. Seeming actually quite horrified now. Making you wonder if you really looked just as horrible as you felt.

"...Wait, what happened to your hand?! That's a long scratch." Ace had suddenly pointed out.

Deuce quickly rushed over to take your (s/c) hand in question. While you could only look between the two. Unsure on what else to say other than Grim was clearly not here. Allowing them to start connecting things.

Ace finally speaking up again after your brief moment of silence. "Eh? What did you say just now?"

Worry still ever present on both of them as they shared a look with each other and you.

"No way.... Did Grim do this?"

You furrowed your brows at the question. Simply giving a nod in response as you still felt you couldn't exactly speak now. What were you supposed to do if Grim was missing? Sure, he had ran away before plenty of times when you first arrived at NRC. But it was never this bad... There was something wrong with the monster this time. You just didn't quite understand what.

"Anyway, let's move to the lounge now. You should treat your injury as fast as possible."

"Y-Yeah! I thought so!" Deuce chimed in agreement. Still carefully holding your hand while he was already guiding you out of your room and to the stairs. Ace not too far behind. "We should contact the Headmaster after that!"

~Time Skip~

Once you three had wrapped your injured hand, you had started to feel better. At least better enough to explain to Crowley what had happened with Grim.

"So, let me sum this up." He slowly began. Standing with you three in the lounge. "After you talked to a creature through the mirror from your room... You went and searched for Grim when you realized he wasn't in the room with you. That's when you got attacked by a violent Grim... hmm."

Humming, he looked a little dismayed by the news. Trying to find why Grim would suddenly do this.

"He ate a black stone again," you explained further.

Remembering all the times he had continuously eaten the stones. And with all the overblots, there was no telling how many he did have when you weren't there.

"Black stone?" The Headmaster paused.

Ace scrunched his face up in confusion, "Huh? Is that the same as the black stone he ate at the Dwarf Mines?"
