It had been two weeks since the Brozone family had to survive Trollstice but unfortunately the boys had lost their mother when she sacrificed herself to save John Dory, Floyd and their egg sibling. That night their father Dorian took the eldest son John Dory to the living room and meanwhile the six year old trolling Clay went to the kitchen to get some water when he heard the conversation between his father and older brother.
Dorian: JD I'm going to be away for a while and I need you to take care of your younger brothers and the egg when you stay with your grandma ok.
JD(age 12): but you are going to come back to watch the baby hatch right 🥺
Dorian: I don't know when I will be back but I promise to there when your baby brother or sister hatches ok
Dorian then gives his eldest son a hug and then grabs his backpack and leaves. Clay had a inkling of doubt that his father was not going to come back and when he entered his room he sees his older brother Spruce and younger brother Floyd sleeping in their bed Floyd was sleeping with the egg. And Clay without being too loud cried himself to sleep due to not being able to handle the death of his mother and now his father is leaving them. He ended up getting more angry at his father when his new baby brother named Branch hatched and Dorian did not show up or for Branch's firsts and even when Branch mistakenly called John Dory dada. Then Branch's first birthday came and there was no sign of their dad and from that moment on Clay decided that Dorian was dead to him.
