There are only a few things Vegas truly loves in this world.
His brother Macau, getting on his cousins' nerves, hedgehogs, and his half brother turned son, Venice, were just a few of them.
But one of his most favorite things, besides staring at Pete's pretty peachy ass, was Pete and his smile. Even more when Pete was happy and he was the reason for it.

Vegas has never been one to be called a „romantic" person. He was a charmer, a playboy, a fuckboy, a psycho—name it all—but never romantic. At least before he met Pete in university nine years ago. And now they were nearing their 10th anniversary.

Truth be told, Vegas never knew how it was to fight for someone or to woo someone, and he definitely never knew how relationships worked. Why should he? Up until he met Pete, Vegas only knew how to screw people, and those people never played hard-to-get with him. Of course, they wouldn't. He was Vegas Kornwit Theerapanyakul. One of the heirs of the mighty Theerapanyakul family. At this point, he only cared for two people. His mother and his little brother, Macau. His father? May he burn in hell. While the death of his mother was the worst day of his life, his father's was the happiest. They could finally feel free. On the outside, for the cameras and the public, Gun Theerapanyakul always acted like the perfect, oh-so-caring husband and the perfect role model of a father for his two sons. Absolute bullshit!
In reality, his father was nothing but a cheater; he was abusive towards his mother and him, and sometimes, when Vegas was not able to protect his brother, Macau also had to suffer under his father's beating.

Gun never kept his mistresses a secret. His mother suffered from depression under all the abuse and constant cheating. The women his father brought home were entitled gold diggers, acting like they were something special just to be thrown out of the mansion after his father was done with them. Growing up like this, Vegas swore to never love anyone besides Macau and his mother. He loved his mother dearly, but he saw how much she suffered loving Gun, and this was something he never wanted to experience. He was barely thirteen, and his brother was only six years old when they lost their mother. She died being ignored by her husband until her last breath. Until her last breath, he was busy being a businessman and a cheater who neither cared for his wife nor their young sons.

So being in love has always been a big NO for Vegas.

Vegas hasn't been a saint. But he also wasn't a cheater. He always made sure to make it clear that it was only fun for him, nothing serious. All he wanted was to have fun without any attachments.

Well...until Pete happened.

Pete was like an angel sent from heaven, and Vegas was definitely not overexerting this. Of course he would not. Never... Just don't ask Macau; he might say otherwise.

It was not „Love at first sight," no. Let's say he liked to compare their love story to one of those Korean dramas his oldest cousin Tankhun likes to watch.

It all started when Vegas saw Pete entering the rooftop, and he was attracted. Like really attracted to him. Simple like that.

What caught Vegas off-guard on that day was that Pete saw him, nodded at him, and turned around to take a seat on the seats on the other side of the rooftop, not giving him more attention. That was something Vegas was not used to. Call him a jerk, but people always had to take a second glance at him. Well, there are perks to being part of this family. But Pete taught him better.

Shortly after meeting Pete on the rooftop, they were formally introduced to each other by Porsche, his cousin Kinn's boyfriend. Porsche and Pete were best friends in their childhood until Pete had to move from Bangkok to Chumphon after his parents's divorce.
According to Porsche, they met by coincidence when Porsche went home and saw someone moving into the house opposite of them. It turned out that Pete's mother and his grandmother decided to move back to Bangkok. Pete joined them. It has been his plan anyway since he planned to move there for university.
