We walk into a new room, it's like a small office. Jeongin turns around and starts explaining.
"Listen well, I don't like to repeat myself" I nod quickly.
"Your duty will be to take lost souls. After a human dies, their soul will be taken by an angel or by a demon. Chan knows who has earned their place in Eden and who to take. The rules are: don't show yourself to humans, you'll soon gain the ability to make yourself both visible and invisible to humans. This is to prevent them from knowing we truly exist, that ruins the whole part of believing. The second rule is not to talk to the souls unless in need of comfort. They will not always be conscious, but if they are, they can freak out about what's happening. Besides the obvious facts, like that they died or that they're being taken to heaven, that's okay, but nothing more than that. It's Chan's place for that. Don't make mistakes like Changbin did, or you will lose your position and get a punishment decided by Chan.
Once your wings are fully grown and you are officially an angel, you will come along with me to see how it's done. After that, you're on your own. Questions?"
"For now, I don't think so."
"Okay. If you do get any questions, don't mind asking. I would rather be bothered than have another Changbin."
"Did he make that many mistakes?"
"Let's simply say I wonder how he ever got into this spot. He broke almost every rule, and we don't even have that many."
"How did you earn your blue wings, if I may ask?" I see a smile appear after asking that.
"Well, I have always been hardworking, ever since I was young I wanted to be a lost soul bringer and I wanted to be the best. So after I got my position after finally being old enough, I did my best to earn Chan's trust. He saw my hard work and after I proved myself in multiple difficult situations, he thought I had earned my spot. Now I also do things like teaching the new ones like you or fix someone else's problems...like you."
"That sounds so cool, I look up to you." I smile at him.
"That makes me happy to hear. Now go with Han and explore." With that he turns around and walks out of the room, followed by Han walking in and telling me to come with him.
In no time, we're outside and I don't know where to look. It's very pretty. Han tells me all about the history of certain buildings or funny stories that happened here and there.
Then I feel a sharp pain in my back, precisely on the carves of the sword. I stop walking and sink through my knees crying. Han, who was just telling another one of his stories, quickly stops talking and kneels beside me.
"I'm sorry, I forgot to warn you. This is normal"
I give a nod and try to get up again and ignore the pain. Han takes my arm and leads me to a bench where we sit down.
"I don't think I ever felt this much pain."
"That is because it's not natural for humans to grow limbs, so it is a hard process. Getting wings is not anatomically usual."
"Makes sense." I say short before another wave hits me. Han comforts me the best he can till most of it is gone and we get up again. We continue our walk and he starts explaining again.
Soon we reach the palace again and I also get a tour through there. I get to see the different wings and endless amounts of rooms.
"Wow, how do you not get lost here?" I say to Han.
He chuckles and answers, "It took me a while to know it all too, but for now, I'll be your personal guide and help you get around."
His big smile cheers me up and I smile back.
A/N: Not that long of a chapter but the next one is going to be from Changbins pov so I hope that makes up for it.
