the sun beamed in as, the wind breeze, autumn was coming closer than Iyana had expected. sophmere was coming up, in a week. Iyana had already finished getting her school supplies but the fact that summer break coming to an end, made her upset. She loved the sleepless nights with her friends, the sunny, sandy days at the beach with her family, and of all, when her parents invited his family over to their home, Lee Haechan.
Lee Haechan and Kato Iyana had been neighbors for their whole lives as their parents were great friends ever since the two were paired up in their kindergarten.
however, both teenagers have never been close to each other. they were always awkward with each other and never finding the words to speak to each other. Haechan's parents always treated Iyana as their daughter, because they had two sons. Haechan and his older brother who was aboard for college. Iyana was the closest female Haechan's mother since she lived and cared for three boys in her house. She loved it when Iyana would come to her house, she would dress her up, put makeup on her, and bring many toys for the little girl. Haechans's father even questioned his wife, if she loved Iyana more than him, jokily she responded to him with a happy "yes".
since Haechan's mother loved Iyana very much, she would visit Lee's household very often. Iyana's parents were hard-working people, they were extremely devoted to their job. Due to this fact, the Kato girl never had a good enough quality time with her parents, so Haechan's parents became her second parents to her.
even with Iyana visiting his house often, Haechan and Iyana never had a full-on conversation with each other. though these two never spoke correctly to each other, the Kato girl had developed a crush on Haechan. his behavior, his flawless face, and his personality had captivated her and made her fall in love with him.
many girls in her school agreed this opinion of hers. causing Haechan to be a womanizer, dating and seeing five girls in one week and breaking up with them. his longest relationship was a rumor was two months straight with one of the popular girls of the school but cheating on her with two of their neighbors
there was no clear reason, why Haechan was a womanizer. was he just playing around with girls because of his flawless looks? probably. or did this seem cool or tough on the outside? no clue
Kato Iyana had always thought she wasn't pretty enough for anyone. her older sister was drop-dead gorgeous, she had always felt insecure underneath the spotlight on her older sister, Kato suzumi. Suzumi had the beauty and brawn, graduated from a top school in the States, and was requested to work at a huge company located in South Korea.
Haechan was famous in the school, being the well-known womanizer, but also representing the school with his social skills. he wasn't the best at academics but would always reach the minimum.
Kato Iyana was a dedicated student but had a social life. though she wasn't the top student in her classes and school she had friends. a little group of four, consisting of Kato Iyana, Kim Sunwoo, Lee Chaeyeon, and Hwang Intak. the four have been best friends ever since they were toddlers and have been by each other's side ever since.
however, as they became teenagers, love was definitely in the air. Lee Chaeyeon started dating Hwang Intak in the summer of freshman year and still are together. making Iyana and Sunwoo the two to thrid-wheel on their two best friends'' dates and hangouts
Haechan was forced to be an extrovert, due to his popularity and charm. the Lee boy was an introvert when he was younger, for a short period, Iyana was his only friend and was his first one too.
the summer breeze brushed her cheek and ran through her long brown hair as she biked toward Lee's household. Haechan's mother had invited Iyana to bake chocolate chip cookies with her.
as Mrs. Lee owned a bakery near a university and many college students often visit her bakery for sweets. The University by Mrs. Lee Bakery, had recently opened after the summer break. Haechan's mom's deserts were not reckoned to be missed out. they were extremely tasty and perfect.
Iyana parked her bike on the side of the house and ran inside, as the front door was open already. She ran passed through Haechan who was scrolling on his phone, shirtless only in his shorts. grabbing Haechan's attention, he shifted his attention to the brown-haired girl, in a light green tank top and jean shorts who ran inside his kitchen
"Sorry for coming later, Mrs. Lee," Iyana exclaimed as she panted, a drop of sweat running off her chin.
"dear, you didn't have to rush yourself here, I just got to take out the ingredients," Mrs. Lee assured her and hugged her tightly
"shall we get started?" the sweet lady asked, breaking the hug off, in response the brown-haired girl nodded in agreement.
