*Hello mom. Just landed in Barcelona, I'll call you when I get to my apartment. Love you* I pushed the send button and put my phone back in my purse.
I'm finally here, in Barcelona, all alone.I'm Julie. A 19 (soon 20) years old girl from Norway. My parents are Brazilian and Spanish tho, and don't ask me about how we ended up in Norway, we just did. I didn't exactly move to Barcelona to study or anything, well I am going to study, I just wanted to try someplace new and I've always wanted to move to Barcelona or São Paulo. My mother is from São Paulo and my dad is from Barcelona. Barcelona just matched a little better with what I was looking for. Yes, I do speak Portuguese, Spanish, Norwegian and English. I have shoulder short, blonde hair, blue eyes and I wouldn't exactly call myself tall, I'm rather small. You'll get to know me better later.
I walked towards the baggage delivery thing and states looking for my bag. Most of my stuff has already arrived, it's just the last thing I have with me in my suitcase. I spotted my case and started walking towards it.
"Agh, God, so heavy" I mumbled to myself while trying to lift my case up, but I just don't think that was possible.
"Need any help with that?" A manly voice asked beside me whilst chuckling a little.
"Yes please" I stepped back and rested my arms on my hips.
The man grabbed my suit case from the drop off and sat it in front of me.
"No wheels?" He asked in Spanish
"No.." I answered back in Spanish kinda done with this day already. He stood there looking at my suitcase for a minute before he pulled his phone up and started to dial a number. He laid his phone next to his ear and looked at me as he smiled. He waited for the person in the other end to pick up for maybe 16 seconds before he suddenly got in contact with the person he was calling.
"Oi, Ney. I'm gonna be a little late, I'm gonna help this girl with her bag" he said in Portuguese.
I could hear some mumbling from his phone from the person he was talking to.
"Yeah, she's pretty" he chuckled as he looked at me a little.
"Obrigada" I smiled at him as he turned to me a little embarrassed.
"I need to go, I'll call you when I'm on my way, ok?" He said quickly and a little shy.
"Tchau" he hung up."You speak Spanish and Portuguese?" He asked and looked at me
"Yes, my mother is brasilian and my father is spanish" I said in Portuguese.
"Ahhh, I see" he nodded a little.
"Oh, I'm Gilmar, but you can just call me Gil" he introduced himself.
"I'm Julie" I smiled.
"Well Julie, if we wanna get a cab we better hurry" he said pointing at the massive amount of people who was trying to get a cab.*in the cab*
"So what are you doing here all alone?" He asked as the cab driver started driving.
"Well, I just wanted to see more of the world, I was either moving to Spain or Brasil and I found out that Spain was the match for me. So here I am, and I'm studying to be a reporter so I'm finishing my studies here" I explained.
"I understand, other than school? What do you do?" Gil asked as he tried to get to know me.
"Well, not much to be honest. I watch a bit football sometimes, mostly play a little myself but other than that, nothing" I chuckled a bit.
"Ahh, I see. I love football, Barça and Brasil are my favorite teams" he said.
"I dont really root for any club, just my national team, Brasil. " I laughed a little."So where are you going anyways?" I asked him.
"To a friend" he answered with a little smile around his mouth.
I just smiled and nodded.
"If you want you could come? I mean, since you don't know many here?" He offered
"Oh, no thank you, I'm not gonna be much trouble, you're already way to kind to me. Don't wanna have you have me hanging over your shoulder" I turned down his friendly offer
"Nono, I wanna get to know you more! Just drop your bags off at home and join me over to Junior's house" he suggested.
"If you promise I'm not in the way of anything" I needed to be 100% sure
"Of course not, you're welcome. I think you will get along very well with my friends" he winked at me whilst he had a smirk on his face.*Back in the cab, the way to Junior"
"I'm just gonna call him and tell him that you're coming" Gil smiled, I nodded and smiled back.
He found 'juniors' number and called it.What kind of nickname is Junior anyways? What if he's friends are really creepy. What if it gets really awkward?! What if they don't like me at all? What if they're really cool and I just screw up in front of them? What if we get along very well?
Thoughts started going through my mind."He said it was ok" Gil snapped me out of my mind.
"Great" I answered with a high pitched voice.
"You ok?" Gil asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine" I nodded.
"Listen, Julie. We're really close and there is something I need to tell you about Junior" he finished and started leaning closer to my ear.
"Junior is Neymar JR" he whispered so the taxi driver couldn't hear us.
"Like Neymar from Brasil?!" I asked shocked
"Yes" he chuckled.
"Well now I'm nervous" I nervous laughed a little.
"Everything is going to be fine" and just as Gil finished him sentence the taxi driver pulled up 'juniors' driveway.
