"Make your Mom proud."

You'll regret not doing your all for her, just like I did... A loving mother who had worked hard all her life and decided to devote herself towards me... Is what I lost.. 4 years ago..

Those were my last words before that little girl got out of the car.

The door shut and she walked into the house, as if this was the norm for her. Being escorted by tough hoodlums in school to suited grown men with black luxury SUVs.

It was now just Mason, the driver and I in the car. Akira was inside the house, safe and sound. Knowing this comforts me from the pain of the past.. what I did to lose.. Loellah.. my little sister figure.

"Jake, where to now?" Mason quickly switches to his informal mode.

"You switched modes awfully fast. But I'm glad you still keep up the attitude when in front of the rest."

"Yeah, I know the rules and how bad it would look if I did man," he said scratching his head with a smile.

"We wait. We will wait for her mother to arrive."

"Huh?"

"I'd like to take in this kid into the family."

"Didn't know you were that generous. But how about her mom?"

"We take care of both of them. She cares for her mother's well being. I'm sure of it."

"Why though? Isn't it a bit of a waste of time to dedicate yourself to them. After all-"

"My decision is final." I sternly say

"Sorry. Understood sir," he quickly changes back. "How about our men? It's almost 6 in the evening, shall we have them head back?"

"Send half of them back to the house." I ordered.

"Understood, he gets out of the car to order the men."

We had 10 cars, full of the A.L.S Force. Totalling 60 personel each carrying their own custom pistols. But that's not all. In each car there were small armories in the back consisting of SMGs or assault rifles for fun situations.

5 of the cars leave the scene and now, Mason and I wait in the car as it gets dark. The other half of our force tonight parked the cars to the side of the houses and stood by.

"Our guys sure seem like they are relaxed." I told Mason while I looked at all of them chit chatting away on standby by.

"Should I do something about it?"

"No, it's fine. Letting our people ease up sometimes is necessary. Just not on the high jobs."

"I see. Still, I'll punish those who defy you Jake. It's my job after all. Thanks to you, we are here now."

A give him a little laugh and appreciative smile. After an hour more of waiting, we see a woman start walking towards the house, noticing all of my men by the black cars, then us parked in front of their little home.

I wait for her to enter and take a breath before I was able to pull myself to move.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

"Oh my god what am I going to say?!"

Mason looks at me all surprised, even the driver's eyes widened from the way I informally spoke suddenly.

"Uh- sir-"

"Mason I'm nervous! What the hell do I say to her mother?!" I panicked. "Oh hello, I'm taking your daughter now." No no no, that sounds so stupid and wrong.
