Above the oblivious humans carrying on with their daily routines, stood a massive, age-old golden palace. The streets were paved with gold, adorned with exquisite shops, and guarded by sentinels. Deities from various places strolled around, sharing laughter and conversation, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony.
Suddenly, a brilliant golden streak shot across the sky, breaking through the serene white clouds breaking up the happy scene.
The gods and goddesses present gazed upwards, their eyes fixated on the Fates who had positioned themselves in front of them. A sense of reverence filled the air as each deity humbly inclined their heads in a gesture of respect.
With a swift motion of their hands, the fates signaled their dismissal, and in an instant, the majestic presence of the 12 Olympian gods vanished into thin air. Alongside them, Hades, Eros, and several other lesser gods also disappeared, leaving behind an eerie silence that echoed through the divine kingdom leaving many confused and on edge.
In the throne room of the gods :
The Olympian gods and goddesses were never ones to shy away from drama, but even Zeus' legendary temper was taken aback by the impertinence of the Fates.
Poseidon, Zeus' brother, let out a sigh and rubbed his temples. "Really, Moirai? You're going to do this now?" He muttered under his breath.
The Fates, those mysterious and powerful beings who controlled the thread of fate, seemed entirely unbothered by Zeus' ire. They continued to sit calmly, their eyes fixed on the god of the skies.
"Ah, yes, we do," the middle Fate replied, her voice as smooth as silk. "And you know why? Because it's about time someone shook things up around here. You gods are always so busy playing your little games and causing chaos, but never actually do anything meaningful."
Athena, the goddess of wisdom, spoke up from the back of the room. "I think what the Fates are trying to say, Zeus, is that we've been stuck in this rut for far too long. The same old wars, the same old power struggles... it's time for a change."
Zeus scowled, but he knew that Athena was right. The gods had been stuck in a cycle of petty squabbles and ego trips for far too long. Maybe it was time to shake things up.
"Fine," he said gruffly. "What do you propose we do?"
The Fates exchanged a look, their eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, we have a few ideas," the middle Fate said, a sly smile spreading across her face. "But first, we need to get one thing straight: we're not doing this for you. We're doing this for ourselves. And for the mortals."
The room fell silent as the gods and goddesses digested this revelation. Zeus' anger had given way to curiosity, and he leaned forward in his throne, his eyes fixed intently on the Fates.
"What do you mean?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
The Fates leaned forward, their eyes gleaming with excitement. "We mean that we're going to change the game," the middle Fate said. "We're going to shake things up, and make things interesting again. And you're all going to have to play along."
The room erupted into chaos as the gods and goddesses began to argue and debate. But deep down, they knew that the Fates were right. It was time for a change. And only time would tell what kind of chaos they would unleash upon the world.
" Yes. You may be right.... What do you have in mind? " Poseidon asked lowering his Trident. His wife and kids followed suit. Triton and Kym the last to do so.
" Something... Different... " The fates mumbled snapping their fingers in unisounison. Immediately a group of chatty demigods fell into the throne room talking onto eachother. The gods watched in interest. A tropical scent suddenly caught Eros, Apollo and Thanatos noses. Tropical and beachy. An omega. Their omega....
The demigods on the floor became pushing and shoving eachother ignoring the gods completely. A fair skinned hunter of Artemis pushed a dark skinned girl with curly hair. The girl responded back by jumping onto the girl. A blonde gray eyed girl scoffed at both of the teenage girls, " Guys.... Guys....! " she urged having noticed the gods before them. " What Belle? Kinda showing this tree hugger who's boss! " the Raven haired teenager smirked. The fair huntress growled below her, "Tree hunger???! How dare you!! "
The scene was escalating quickly. The dark-skinned girl with curly hair had managed to get the huntess off her back, but the girl was still seething with anger.
"Oh, I'm shaking in my designer boots," she sneered, her green-blue eyes flashing with annoyance making a few demigods back up wisely.
The gods, who had been watching the commotion with a mixture of amusement and disapproval, chose that moment to intervene. Zeus, the king of the gods, boomed his voice, "Enough! What is the meaning of this behavior?"
The demigods on the floor stopped pushing and shoving each other, looking up at the gods in a mixture of embarrassment and defiance. The fair skinned hunter, still grumbling under her breath, slowly got off the dark skinned girl, who stood up, her curly hair disheveled and her eyes flashing with anger.
The blonde girl, took a step forward, her gray eyes locked on Athena after looking around the throne room in confusion. " Mother?" Athena tilted her head in thought. Annabeth?
" Daddy?" the curly black hair girl chirped happy looking over to Poseidon who's eyes widened. He mouth dropping a little bit. The teenager tilted her head in confusion at her dads reaction. He knew her, she was his favorite child so, why was he acting like he'd never seen her??
Annabeth nudged her with her arm, " the throne room is different! See? "She said gaining The teenagers attention. " Yes, it is" .
" These kids are from the future and you lot are going to read books based around The teenage daughter of Poseidon! She changes many things in the future so while she may anger you lot, no killing her or her friends for that matter! " The fates stated before snapping their fingers and dissapearing all together.
