“Naya, meet your new bodyguard. His name is Zayn, He's going to be accompanying and keeping an eye on you. Get used to him, understand?”
Naya stared at him for a few seconds, Zayn is quite tall like around…7 or 6 feet? His black shades, that spooked her.
“Again? Really? A NEW one? Mother, I don't need anyone to keep me company!”
She let out with a frustrating face, her mother gave her a serious look.
“Naya, you're not independent enough to even look after yourself, and if anything ever happens to you, I'll be the one who's taking responsibility and I don't want any of that. Do you understand?!”
She shouted, Naya flinching at this; she tilted her down, nodding and feeling fear. The bodyguard was just standing there and not saying anything to not interfere with them.
“Now now, no time for small talk. Zayn, I'll leave her to you so do your job. I have to go to Ms.Kadence’s appointment urgently,”
Zayn understood her orders, he nodded as Naya’s mother stepped out of the room, leaving them an awkward silence.
Later Naya broke the silence;“Okaay, listen- Zay or zaint— forget that! I don't need you to offer me company, just act like you're doing your job! You don't have to do the real thing, got it?”
“Well, I'm afraid I can't do that Miss. I've made an assignment to your mother that I will keep an eye on you,”
She scoffed, hearing that just made her more annoyed. There's been plenty of bodyguards who have quitted before, it's all because they were too ‘tired’ to take care of her clumsiness, reckless attitude. Naya thought it'll go the same way to Zayn, she rolled her eyes.
“.. Whatever, you'll quit anyways like my other previous bodyguards do, I don't care what you do.”
Zayn titled his head, looking at her
“I'm afraid you're making a wrong assumption, Miss. I will clearly not do that,”
Naya rolled her eyes, as if she'll believe that.
I'll just act like he isn't here, that wouldn't be such a bother to me!
“Okay so…you're not going into my room right? I'm going to do my own thing, just- knock if you need anything”
Naya went into her room, leaving her bodyguard outside the room, I suppose he's gonna guard her from the outside,
What does she mean by ‘need anything’? She'll be the one needing help from him anyway-
Like what her mother said, she'll have to get used to this, starting from tomorrow.
