Itoshi Sae is a renowned and highly skilled midfielder in the world of soccer and a key player in the La Real football team. He got tons of fans that reached all over the world including the famous striker, Isagi Yoichi. Back in time, the two first met during the Blue Lock and the U-20 match. It was an intensive and brutal fight where Isagi had to support his teammate Rin and keep a close eye on Sae to prevent him from passing the ball to Shidou.

Isagi had to admit that Sae was a hard target to deal with. His passes to Shidou were flawless, making it seem like there was no way to stop them. Sae also possessed a physical strength that Isagi lacked, making it nearly impossible for him to steal the ball. In fact, he was as talented as Rin, no, he was way better than Rin. He could read the field, analyze and manipulate it, and his calculations always seemed one step ahead of Rin. He is a strong player who could rival anyone on this field. Simply put, he is a strong opponent.

In that conclusion, Isagi sees him worthy to destroy and devour.

Isagi is going to use him to practice and evolve his skills.

Isagi is willing to fight this monster "whenever" and "wherever" because he wants to defeat him.

As if their mind were connected, because Sae too, started to see Isagi as his new rival.

Time skip —

3-4, the referee sounded his whistle to announce the game was end. Blue Lock takes their win, and their Hero, Isagi Yoichi celebrates his victory with his teammate. While across the field, the reddish-brown hair and slim teal eyes looked at Isagi. His intense gaze was completely focused on Isagi, it seemed to penetrate right through and deeply reflected him.

Suddenly, Isagi felt like somebody was looking at him so he turned around, for to be trapped inside that dazzling, gorgeous shining steal eye. They both stared at each other without blinking, and neither didn't look away from each other eyes.

For some reason, Sae's heart began to beat loudly in his chest.

He was taken aback by the fact that he could hear it, whatever "this" was. He couldn't pinpoint exactly what was going on with him, but he knew that if he continued to stare at the boy in front of him, his heart would lose control.
