CHAPTER ONE . . . TRUST & TEARS "We can only hope, Ms. Potts." ─────────────────────────────
"Are you sure we're allowed to be here?" Zelda asked her mother as Carol tried to reassure her daughter.
"Yes of course. Why would Nick Fury call us?"
"Besides, why are you worrying all of a sudden?" Carol asked her daughter this time as they walked around the Avenger Compound.
"It's just that with everything going on and how everyone has been reacting in their own universe. It is kind of easy to predict how they will feel." Zelda muttered her mother just let out a little laugh.
She remembered how angry a group of adults was toward her and her mother. When they learn what Thanos has done to them while the other half was just depressed and wanted to give up. She just wishes they understand there were two of them and many more universes to help out.
"They are the Avenger kiddo. Besides, if they say anything bad about you, I will kick their ass for you." Carol reassures her before looking at her daughter with a smile.
"Besides, we are the inspiration for the Avenger Initiative." Carol reminded Zelda before a redhead with blonde ends spotted them.
"Right." Zelda mumbled as she made eye contact with the woman in front of her.
"Who are you guys? I am just going to ask you guys once as we already have a lot to deal with." She asked them as Carol stepped in front of her daughter. As a blonde hair male that was definitely bigger than her step out of nowhere behind the red hair woman.
"Carol Danvers and this is my daughter Zelda Danvers. We are the inspiration for the Avenger Initiative, and we are here to help you." She introduced herself and her daughter to them before the other two looked at each other if they could trust them.
"I am not sure if they are telling the truth, you know." She whispered to the taller male as he looked at them. He felt like he knew their name from somewhere but he just couldn't pinpoint from where he heard it from.
"I get what you mean but who dresses all superherolly?" He asked as she just rolled her eyes at his stupid comment.
"Okay but if they turn their back on us you're the first one I am going to sacrifice." She said before turning back around to face them.
"Here is the device Nick Fury signals us from if you don't trust us." Zelda spoke up as she handed it to her. A look of confusion got glued on their face as they had no idea what was the device they were holding.
"You don't need to trust us but we are here to help you. As we said before." Zelda added as the red head nodded her head.
"Nathan's Romanoff." She introduced herself as she looked at the man beside her.
"Steve Rogers."

"Let me get this straight."
"So you're telling me you guys can go to space and save Tony." Rhodey said almost not believing anything they just told them.
"Yep."
"How long would it take you guys?" Pepper asked as Carol and Zelda looked at each other.
"Well it shouldn't be that long since there aren't many big ships in space most of the time." Zelda told Pepper as she admired the way the sun shined through the window. It was near the afternoon but she wasn't sure with the answer she gave Pepper Potts. She wanted to correct that it would only take today to reunite Tony with his fiancé and his friends. But if she was wrong it would just leave a strain of guilt in her that she lied to them.
"I could give you guys this much. If we start right now he will be back by night time." Carol chimed in as Pepper looked for confirmation in their eyes.
"Alright I will leave it to you guys, but promise me one thing." She said, taking Carol's hand looking directly into her eye.
"Bring him back alive please." Pepper whispered as her voice cracked in the end. She couldn't imagine her life without him. Especially with everything they went through together and she still wanted to say so much to him before they got separated from each other broke her even more.
Zelda looked at her with sympathy as she placed a hand on top of her hand. With a little smile on her face.
"We can only hope, Ms. Potts." Zelda said before letting her hand go and walk out of the Avenger Compound. She heard the woman break down as she stood outside waiting for her mom. She needed to hear the truth and not get her hope up cause then she would get her hope crashed.
Just her hope was crushed once.
She felt a hand on her shoulder as she let out a sigh.
"Did I do the right thing by telling her that?" Zelda asked for reassurance from her mother as Carol just nodded her head. She knew Zelda felt bad for what she said but with so little knowledge if a man is still alive in space.
A promise was nothing then dust flying away.
"Let's go find this, Tony Stark."

I hope you did enjoy this chapter because I am really just unsure about the first chapter because why does the first chapter always got to the hardest to write like damm man. Why couldn't you be more easier to write lol but at least it over for now. Until I tell myself to write it lmaoo.
