Short chapter: Excuse any mistakes

I thought about what all took place yesterday and I did owe her some truth of some kind.
"J?"
"Yea Toni?"
"Sit down babygirl, lemme show you sumn." I opened my very own file and let her read.
"When I said there's a lot you didn't know about me this is exactly what I mean."
I watched her read over it as shock and sadness take her eyes. A tear managed to slip down as she grabbed my hand in hers. "Toni, I'm so sorry."
"It's ok mamas."
"No it's not ok, your parents didn't have a right to treat you like that."
"People in general don't have the right to treat other people the way they do, but yet they do. Just I wanna share something with you, you said I was leaving you in the dark well let me shed some light on you."
"Lay it on me baby." I looked at her once baby fell out of her mouth. Our eyes met in lust but I shook it off to get back on topic.
"Janet, you shared with me earlier that you were married at a point in your life."
"Yes I was."
"Your mama is now married to him, that day at the hospital your mother and I were sharing eyes for the simple fact I was outside on the phone and I seen her getting out the suv with Rene in the drivers seat and Ward in the back. I spoke with her on the elevator and I called her by his last name. That's why when we met at your house and I told her 'I hope you know like I know.' That's why.."
I seen her body stiffen and she moved. I didn't even wanna look at her, I couldn't.
"Toni?"
"Yea?"
"What you're saying to me is that after I divorced him she's with him?"
"Yes."
"Ima kill her!" I grabbed her so quick, I didn't need her blowing this for me. Especially right when we're putting pieces together.
"Woah woah woah! Not yet mamas, not yet."
"Do you know how low down and nasty that is. Like was she watching me the whole time I was with him?"
"I don't know mamas, I don't know. Look let's go outside have a fun day and don't think about this."
"Don't think about this?! I'm sorry my mother is married to my ex husband! She sat and watched everything that he did to me, the abuse, the breakdown, all of it; and you mean to tell me that I don't need to think about this?"
"I understand."
"Oh do you? Do you understand your mother putting a hit on you for money and then being married to your ex? You understand that?"
"I understand being abused and raped by my mother because my father failed her. I understand my mother having an affair and having an outside child who hates me. I understand my assets being sold to a family; so I'm walking round with a target on my back, no one to protect me. So yes I understand but worrying about it does nothing so now I'm telling you this time drop it. It's being handled, I'm here I got you and if you think for a second ima let them folks do something to you I'm not. This is too big for you to handle so let me. I got you."
She hugged me tightly as tears ran out of her eyes. "Look at me, you're gonna be ok. Do you believe that?"
She nodded her head 'yes'. "But what about you Toni?"
