BATTLE OF LOVE

𝟏│𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

For two weeks, Percy had been in Camp Halfblood, preparing himself for a quest he didn't yet know about. He was now engaged in with Luke, the son of Hermes, in swordplay.

On a typical day, Luke would have thrown Percy on his ass before Percy had a chance to do so, but luke was the one who fell on the forest's dirt floor.

Deflecting Luke's strike and kicking out his feet underneath him, Percy grinned.

The brunette gave Luke a confused look."You alright, man?"Percy reached down to assist Luke get up, saying, "You seem kinda down." Luke grabbed the hand and got up.

Shaking his head, luke brushed off his garments.He snapped , "I'm fine," and turned to leave.

Shrugging, Percy realized that was the end of sword training and headed back to camp.

where he saw everyone else was moody too.

"hey " he said to a girl passing by, who with her beauty looked to be a daughter of Aphrodite, with red hair and eyes. From the closeness Percy could see dried tears under her red eyes." what's going on with everyone?" he asked.

The girl looked like she could slap him, but stopped herself in time."Annabeth!" she spoke in a thick heavy french accent, glancing side to side for the dark skinned girl, who appeared out of nowhere." faites-le reculer avant moi !"screaming at her in french, she walked off, more like stomped away.

The Children of Aphordite were usually nice, loving and always seen having a smile on their face, yet today was different. "holy gods who pissed in her cereal." percy joked, expecting Annabeth to laugh, but she was dead silent and glared at him."not you too!"he groaned.

Annabeth kicked his shin and tugged his shirt down to her height, her black locs swaying with the movement ." Watch what you say, Percy, it might come to bite you back in the ass."

The girl usually was rude to him but not this much, he was really starting to wonder why everyone was down. Giving him one more glare, Annabeth walked off to cabin 10, Aphrodite's cabin.

The blonde thought it'd be best if he asked Grover what had everyone in a twist, not even the Whitlock twins, the twin children of hades, were being mean to him, which happened ever since he came to camp halfblood.

They were in fact nowhere to be seen.

Continuing his walk on the trail, he finally come upon Grover, who just like everyone else was sad.

"What happened Grover? Why is everyone so sad?" He asked his friend of 5 years.

Grover seemed to visibly shake before sighing." Nobody told you?.... Huh, looks like I'm stuck with it again." Grumbling, he dragged Percy to a nearby log, sitting down and forcing the blonde to do so too." The reason why everyone is so sad is because.... It's the anniversary of her disappearance...."

Letting Grover continue, Percy forced his questions aside." She along with her brother disappeared six years ago, nobody knows where, her quest was to find Hermes and ask for a way to the underworld to retrieve an ancient artifact of her mother's that she needed."

"....A month into her quest we lost all connection to her... her siblings are like this every year on her anniversary , the whole camp does, luke's the worst, she was the closest to him beside her siblings. she was the sun and light to our problems, she solved everything with just her smile..... I promise when she comes back, I will not let her out of my sight again." Grover muttered the last sentence, glaring holes into the dirt of the forest.

"You said you were stuck with something again, what was that?" The son of Poseidon asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I tell this story to all the new comers, nobody else wants to." Saying that, he hopped onto his hooves and walked away.

Percy debated on following him but just let him be, instead making a beeline to cabin 10.

Where he could see people in a circle, praying to the gods.

In the circle were the daughters and sons of Aphrodite, including the Whitlock twins, Annabeth, Clarisse and Luke.

The rest of the camp was either watching or in their own cabin.

Just who went missing for them to be this obsessed over?.

If she had the whole camp wrapped around her finger, Percy sure as hell wasn't gonna be one of them.
