Y'all are getting wholesome shit today cuz I'm in a good mood (depending on how this haircut I'm gonna get comes out will be next chapter you have been warned.) So uh this chapter is a lot of relationship building between catnap and dogday next chapter will have other characters I promise 😭.
Okay uh starting off from last time let's go.
DOGDAY'S POV -
After that whole panic I had Catnap decided to take us to an aquarium to cheer us up despite the danger that just came up I'm still kind of worried that one of the sisters maybe even more might find us but I'm just trying to take my mind off that.
(Yes I know there is not an aquarium in the Smiling Critters show but idc you get this aquarium hang out 😡)
"Wow this place is beautiful-" I say mesmerized by the crystal blue water and aquatic life around us.
"It really is." He says looking at me.
I glace over looking at him.
He looks so beautiful in here.
"Oh my gosh look!" I see jellyfish one of my favorite sea creatures "Ahh! They're so pretty!!!" I start jumping up and down wagging my tail.
Catnap just stares at me with this loving look on his face, I'm so glad we're friends.
I wish we could be more-
"S-sorry I just really like jellyfish-" I chuckle kinda embarrassed I reacted like that.
"No need to apologize, that was uh-" He cuts himself off.
I know he's trying to muster up the courage to say whatever he was going to but I'm guessing it was too hard for him.
He only recently started talking to me a few months ago anyway but before that he was just to scared too.
I don't really mind though, I just like being near him, talking to him isn't necessary just being around him is enough.

We continue on through the aquarium.

All of this is so pretty, the water is shimmering.
It's really awing.
"Hey catnap?" I ask
"Hm? Yeah?"
"Thank you for taking me here-"
"I was really scared earlier and this calmed me down a lot."
"Of course Dogday! Anything for a friend."
I smile at him.
He smiles back gently.
God I wish he liked me-
Maybe I should-
Grab his hand?
No, that would be stupid.
God! He just opened up to you Dogday you don't want him to be scared of you again do you?
...
But-
Maybe-
No.
I can't, he doesn't like me, he'd hate me-
"D-dogday are you okay?"
Shit I started crying.
"Y-yeah, just thinking!" I laugh
"You sure?"
"Of course!"
"Okay then-"
God why am I like this-
...
Huh?
I look down.

He's-
Holding my hand?
...
Maybe he does like me-
I start wagging my tail.
"You okay now?" He chuckles
"Yeah." A lot better.
"Good." He smiles softly.
"Catnap?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you for being here for me even when I'm like this-"
"Of course Dogday you were here for me when I was down."
I smile at him
He smiles back.
(Time skip because Sayaka)
"That was so fun!" I say excitedly jumping up and down.
"It really was." He yawns.
"I'm tired though now-"
"You're always tired."
"Maybe because you waste too much of my energy" he playfully nudges me.
"Shut up-" I laugh pushing him.
"You first-" he pushes me back.
(Push fight continues for a while)
"Okay, okay, truce-" Catnap says laughing.
"Fine." I chuckle.
"You wanna sleep?" I say.
"Yes-"
"Together?"
"EXCUSE ME-"
"NOT LIKE THAT YOU DIRTY MINDED FREAK-"
"I know! I know! I'm just kidding 😭"
"Fuck you-"
"But sure let's go to my house-"
"Okay!"
We both go to Catnap's house.
"Ugh what a day-" He says wrapped in a blanket on his bed.
"Yeah-"
I'm sitting on the floor, wrapped in a blanket too.
"You sure you don't wanna sleep on like the couch or something?"
"Nah I'm good."
"Okay then-" He yawns "Good night then."
"Good night Catnap-"
We both sleep.
