This will be what happened before Annabeth woke up.
When I woke up everything was ready. I just had to go change and grab the ring.
Annabeth looked like she was peacefully sleeping. She looked like a goddess. Aphrodite had everything set up except I had to go get the ring and change.
It worked because when she realized I was gonna propose she popped up in my cabin at 3am and told me a plan. I changed practically all of it and by 5am we had a plan in the middle of both which matches the current events.
When I got to my cabin I changed and took the ring out from under my bed. I gave it one last look and put it in my pocket. I went to the beach and just watched the ocean.
Then at sunset, just as Aphrodite and I had planned, Annabeth started to wake up and I got into position.
