chapter one

"Today is not the end but today is a new beginning."

"Bella, can I borrow your hoodie? It's so cozy!"

Bella looks up from her packing, a soft smile gracing her lips at her sister's enthusiasm.

"Sure, go ahead. Just make sure to pack some warmer clothes too. Forks is a lot chillier than Phoenix."

Willow nods eagerly, grabbing the hoodie from Bella's closet and adding it to her suitcase.

"I can't wait to see Dad! Do you think he'll take us to that diner we used to go to all the time?"

Bella chuckles, a hint of nostalgia coloring her voice as she recalls fond memories of the diner.

"Maybe. We'll have to see. But I'm sure he'll be busy with his job."

As they continue to pack, Bella and Willow chat about their upcoming trip, sharing their excitement and apprehensions about starting a new life in Forks. Despite the uncertainty of the move, there's a sense of camaraderie between the sisters, a bond that strengthens with each shared moment.

"I know things are going to be different in Forks, but we'll figure it out together, okay?" Bella says, her voice quiet.

Willow nods, a determined glint in her eyes as she zips up her suitcase.

"Yeah, we've got this. together, right?"

Bella smiles, her heart swelling with love for her sister.

 "together. Always."

With their suitcases packed and their spirits high, Bella and Willow prepare to embark on their journey to Forks, ready to face whatever challenges may come their way, together.

As the plane touched down at SeaTac airport, Willow's stomach churned with a mix of nerves and anticipation. She hadn't seen her father, Charlie, in years, and the thought of reconnecting with him after so long filled her with both excitement and trepidation. But there was also a new addition to the mix - willow, she used to be so close to their father up until two years ago.

As they piled into Charlie's old cruiser, the atmosphere in the car became palpably awkward. Willow shot Bella a nervous glance from the front seat, her fingers fidgeting with the hem of her sweater. Bella offered her a small, reassuring smile before turning her attention to Charlie, who was focused intently on the road ahead.

"So, Bella. Willow." Charlie said, his voice breaking the uncomfortable silence, "how was the flight?"

Bella shifted uncomfortably in the backseat.

"It was fine," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "Long, but fine."

Willow glanced back at Bella, offering her sister a sympathetic smile. "I watched a movie," she piped up, eager to fill the silence. "It was about vampires and werewolves."

Charlie nodded, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. "That's nice, Willow," he said, his tone strained. "Glad you found something to pass the time."

The conversation fizzled out as quickly as it had begun, leaving Willow to stew in her own thoughts as they drove through the rain-soaked streets of Forks. She stole glances at Charlie and Bella, feeling like a stranger in her own family. Despite her efforts to bridge the gap between them, there was an undeniable tension in the air - a sense of unease that seemed to hang over them. she couldn't shake the feeling that things would never be the same as before.
