:- I am NOT! I am just worried. I don't get to see you every day now. Whenever you are here with me it seems that is just your physical body. I don't know how to reach you anymore.

:- I am here.

:- "you are not! You are bloody not! I wouldn't have said it if you were here." He stormed out!

That was the last time she saw Zain 6 years ago. She didn't know at that point about how to make someone believe something when she herself didn't know what to believe anymore. It wasn't that she didn't Love him, but she didn't know how to get out of her whirlpool back then. Investigative journalism often took her to dark places and sometimes she just thought it was better to be alone. She kept her feelings about work and Love separate so that they don't affect each other or at least she thought so.

She looked at the steaming cup of coffee that was left there. He didn't even touch that. She didn't know why she couldn't devote herself to this relationship like he did. So she sipped her coffee and thought about the 2 years they spent together. She was just an intern back then and it was not easy for her to find her niche. She didn't know if she wanted to be an investigative journalist or switch to something else like finance which she was more interested in. Her work took almost all of her time and she never really got any extra time to be bothered about all the glitz and glamours of his life. He was busy with his fashion photography which took him to places. She didn't even get the chance to feel sad about the breakup as her phone kept ringing, she kept working overtime and just like how the steaming cup of coffee cooled down, she never realized how her romantic life stopped existing altogether. She also became a Financial Journalist after that. She knew it was where she could flourish and she was right.

Shirin Roy. She finally made a name in the world of Financial Journalism after winning the prestigious Sanlam Award for consecutive 2 years. Many big shots are now seeking for her to write about their companies and themselves. She is always busy with some or other projects and the prospect of a romance that she left 6 years ago never really got the chance to blossom properly again. She finally took 4 weeks off from work, from the familiar world around her to go on a trip to Europe. A backpacking trip that she once upon a time dreamed about but then forgot. It is time to fulfil that dream, she thought while packing.
